Really need some advice here. Any help is greatly appreciated.

CBMarkham,

I would really love for you to look over these lists.

In the past I have followed your advice on lists with really good to great outcomes.

Well, that was a bust.

Although I'm not the one to offer experienced advice, I'm curious how you did. Any reports on how the lists performed?

Went with 2nd list.

Round 1, Tabled my opponent.

Round 2 thru 4, Dice went ice cold. Never rolled one hit or evade the whole time.

Worst dice rolling ever.

That sucks, I've hit high and low streaks before, but, never a shut out dice tourney day. Sorry to hear that. I guess that would not be the scientific sample to critique the list build.

Keep rolling, the dice have to turn sooner or later!

I read the first post and was about to chime in, then I saw your second and third posts and...well, sorry.

Played 14 hours of X-Wing in my store tourny on Saturday. Needless to say, after a brutal beating I took in the finals from a good friend of mine, I needed a little time to recover and wasn't trolling the squad building forums.

Missed the boat on it, but for the record, I think I'd have done this:

Round 1:

Darth Vader (29)
Adaptability (0)
Advanced Targeting Computer (1)
Engine Upgrade (4)
TIE/x1 (0)
"Omega Leader" (21)
Juke (2)
Comm Relay (3)
Total: 60
Round 2:
Darth Vader (29)
Adaptability (0)
Advanced Targeting Computer (1)
Engine Upgrade (4)
TIE/x1 (0)
"Omega Leader" (21)
Juke (2)
Comm Relay (3)
Omicron Group Pilot (21)
Emperor Palpatine (8)
Total: 89
Round 3:
Darth Vader (29)
Adaptability (0)
Advanced Targeting Computer (1)
Engine Upgrade (4)
TIE/x1 (0)
"Omega Leader" (21)
Juke (2)
Comm Relay (3)
Omicron Group Pilot (21)
Emperor Palpatine (8)
The Inquisitor (25)
Push the Limit (3)
Autothrusters (2)
TIE/v1 (1)
Total: 120

Round 4:

Darth Vader (29)
Adaptability (0)
Advanced Targeting Computer (1)
Engine Upgrade (4)
TIE/x1 (0)
"Omega Leader" (21)
Juke (2)
Comm Relay (3)
Omicron Group Pilot (21)
Emperor Palpatine (8)
The Inquisitor (25)
Push the Limit (3)
Autothrusters (2)
TIE/v1 (1)
"Wampa" (14)
"Backstabber" (16)
Total: 150
PS10 Vader isn't quite PS11, but I never wanted to give up the extra point, and if you don't need PS10, you an drop your PS to 8 and move at the same time as OL and Inquis for added maneuverability, in addition to giving Vader's crits a chance to land on hull.
Omega Leader is REALLY mean in a 60pt game, as is a PS10 Vader. Palpatine helps you out in round 3. He's great with both those initial pilots. In round 4 we add another hard to kill ace with good firepower, because why not?
In round 4, drop in Wampa and Backstabber, because at that point it's probably as good as you'll do with 30pts. Backstabber is dangerous at 150pts because he'll be able to shoot SOMEBODY who doesn't have arc on him, and your opponent has too many bigger threats to worry about what Backstabber is doing. Wampa and OL can work together with Palpatine support to threaten any ace higher than Vader (PS10 Poe who got Init or PS11 Vader).

... the only thing I would change is the dice ;)

... the only thing I would change is the dice ;)

and you can with the Emperor

Those dice have joined their fickle god. First thing I did when I got home was to line them all up in front of the new dice I picked up and smashed them with a hammer.

Might seem childish, but after not rolling one hit or evade for 3 games I was a little upset with them.

So far, the new dice are rolling average.

That should get rid of dice mutiny.

Better luck next time!
