What Figure (or figure group) Have You been Impressed with?

By darkjawa103, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

Whats up with the exaggerated faces on the troopers? Lando looks like Bilbo Baggins had a baby. WTH?

I've gotta say that after putting a Bantha Rider on the table it lives up to the hype. You can move it a good way across the map easily, and it dishes out the pain.

HK Droids can be used in open groups, right - they dont have a mission to unlock?

They are not unique, so they can be used as open groups (even mid-campaign as long as the rebels agree that they are available in the campaign).

Elite Heavy Stormtroopers have been incredible for me in the last few tournaments. They lose the ability to reinforce by bumping up to elite, but they get enough durability and firepower to easily make up for it. I've demolished lists with a single activation stacking blast 2 on several units, while still having the ability to answer a single large threat. Add to that the use of Lock On and Maximum Firepower and you've got a group that more than pays for itself.

Hired Guns

These canon fodder dudes just seem to pull their weight every single game I use them. At first I thought it was quite a big bummer not to have the X, and it is, but the free parting shot is fabulous. They are such a control piece. Sometimes they do more for me, than my heavy hitters seem to do. Or maybe I just always expect less of them, than they deliver :)

In a campaign I actually once deliberately shot a hired gun to get a shot off at the heroes (the hired gun had been force pushed and was in an incredibly inconvenient position for me). I'm actually considering picking up a second set for my next campaign.

I played a couple games of skirmish for the first time in ages tonight. Ran Wonder Twin Sabs first and lucked out getting to play Son of Skywalker 3 times. Leia is awesome. Second game I ran Dengar eTuskens rTrandosx3 and Gideon. Dengar popped before he did anything. (Bad positioning on my part but oh man those 6 Trandoshans did some work. The eTuskens pack a wallop too. Might try it again without Dengar and just toss in another set of the Tuskens.

Anybody else hear this in the Dwight Schrute voice? From the Office?

Yes. You have to do it Dwight Fashion. Wrong! You cannot shoot friendly players!
