Force Sensitive animal species

By Slugrat, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

I am playing a Pathfinder Seeker for our force and destiny Campaign. We are starting at Knight level and I am picking up the talents that allow you to force bond with an animal and use their senses to see and feel thru them. I have decided to have a Vornskrr to bond with. From my favorite EU trilogy of course, the vornskrr were predators that hunted using force sensitivity. They obviously could not utilize the force as a PC could but would it be reasonable to be able to give my vornskrr a force rating of 1 and be able to commit a force die to its hunting and tracking abilities? And also use it when utilizing its sense thru my pc? It would not be able to take on talents or upgrade is force rating. The rating of one would give it the force sensitivity it has as a species. Any thoughts?

I'm not sure this would be a thing we could answer for you. It would come down to what your GM decides. If it were my vornskrr that I've had thru a few sessions, I'd hope that his abilities would increase to some degree.

I'm running a game of F&D currently with a pathfinder in it. He's more of a "gotta catch 'em all" pokemon trainer style pathfinder, but has on going friendships with all of these creatures. A few of them are even baby (still in an egg to be exact) or adolescent creatures. They are able to grow from these juvenile states (as described in the F&D core book) to adults. His force power is only 2 and can only bond with a silhouette 1 creatures. Once his force rating increases to 4, he will be able to bond with silhouette 2 creatures. At that time, he could choose a few of his juvenile creatures to grow into adults. This would give them full stats of their silhouette 2 normal size. For extra incentive, I have a silhouette 3 creature hidden in an egg. A creature able to grow that large would be in case he would ever want to end up with a force rating of 6. He's going mystic seer after pathfinder and isnt that far from force rating of 4.

It's not unreasonable for them to have Force Talents (Uncanny Sences, Uncanny Reactions, Slight of Mind).

But chat with your GM about what your looking for. Don't be surprised if the Mystic source book has more on this, the information we have so far is the one Of the specialisations is called Hermit and has the animal bond talents, so I'm expecting more animals to bond with and possibly expanded rules
