cheat caught on video??????

**** those germans.... :P

So are there only cheaters in Germany?

I don't think there is enough here to brand this person a cheater. My suspicions are not good, but suspicions are not enough. The evidence should be more convincing.

The evidence should be convincing before someone goes dragging someone's name through the mud.

I say let FFG watch the videos and decide for themselves.

We need body cams (and chip system inside ships)

There are a few things that have been said and seen to show that this person is most likely cheating. The glaring one, is that people who know him have stated that he has a reputation. Everyone knows "That Guy" at their club. Secondly, there is no need to touch a dial at a championship, let alone multiple times. This could be forgive as nervous energy, but they fiddle with the dial, see what it says, then fiddle some more. There is only one reason for doing this.

Reputations for cheating are not garnered overnight. As such you have to suffer the consequences of having a reputation like this. Especially if people are going to be short with you, not take your side and believe video evidence which suggests such behaviour.

Whenever I wish to check my dial post planning phase, I always ask the opponent and make sure I use my thumb and index finger only in picking up the dial so there is no way to possibly adjust it, if the guy is going to say he was just checking his dial, I call bull since you don't sit there with fingers and thumb on the dial checking discretely the maneuver you are performing, that is very dodgy.

You don't touch the dials once activation starts. This looks like the world's most obvious cheater to me.

Calm down, it was only a joke. Hence the smiley face at the end.

You start 2 world wars and people think you dont have a sense of humour!

before I get warnings, I am German, well ancestry. But this was clearly a joke by Red Castle, people need to calm down.

It's clear he touched the dials. I do not see enough evidence that he tampered with them, and would let it rest.

Ha. I was not expecting it to be that obvious even after reading the comments.

It is extremely clear at both 0.55 and 2.25 at .5speed

One ;) obviously the Second one!

But at least we won't start World War 3 - that will be your business when voting Trump :P

In the German Community this is hot topic right now.

The player in charge has stated in length his Train of Thought in the situation and demands that he is not changing his dial, but nervously checking if he will get blocked in the turn.

Some points:

1. We don,t know, if he changes his dial, so he clearly fiddles it.

2. The player himself has uploaded the video. (Why, when cheating?)

3. the 3 bank left is the obvious manouver, even if the xwings would have been chasing Vader instead he would still have a shot with rac after boosting.

4. he does the nervous thing also in the round befor, where it has no signifcance at all.

Everyone and his mother know the identity of the player right now, so he will be under closely monitor nontheless.

It is still in doubt if he is cheating, so as long there is doubt i see no reason for harsh punishment.

Its a game played for Fun not to earn you millions.

Burning a suspect is NOT fly casual!

Stay on topic, gentlemen. Although, I think there is not much to be discussed here as the matter at hand is to be decided by FFG and/or the German distributor and not the folks here.

It does look quite clear that he moved his dials in reaction to where his opponent moved. I hope that after they review this, the german "officials" report it to FFG so he can get on the ban list. No excuse for this kind of behaviour.

Anyone who says the Germans don't have a sense of humour have never watched "The Heute-Show"

Their take on the UK's "Brexit" was wonderful

There is a reason that trials are not presided over by Internet mobs. There is a process for this kind of thing. None of us are a part of it. Negativity and accusations of various kinds of cheating are growing disturbingly more common. That is bad for all of us. It taints our games everywhere and lessens the appeal of the game for new players.

BURN THE WITCH!

wait wrong mob?

sorry everyone... no witches...

or are there....

made my day xD

or are there....

didn't they catch a conquest player cheating last year? It seems people forget they are being recorded as it is becoming more of a trend to put it on the net in more tournaments I am attending.

Yes. It took until several months later for the videos to go up and someone noticed, but the 'winner' of the NA Championship for Conquest at GenCon was caught on camera at the final table over-drawing during the HQ phase(which is huge if you're familiar with how Conquest works). He's the sole occupant of FFG's list of banned players and can't participate in OP events until 2020.
