Canadian Regionals

With Regional Prizes announced, what areas are Regionals planned for in Canada, does anyone have any ideas of when and where? I remember someone posting for one in Calgary a couple weeks ago, but have any others been announced yet? If so how and where would registration be? How much does it cost (aside from travel costs)? I got so many questions. I Would love to play competitively! Would I need to play in store tournaments first?

Regionals Championships are open to Everyone. Winning a Store Championship will only get you a first round Bye, and even then, some people who win them don't cash them in!

Unfortunately, you're the second person who has posted a question on it (and I know the guy who asked the first time).

Stores are still able to set their own costs for entry and such.

Lion Rampant - the Exclusive Canadian Distributor - has the dates already effectively allocated - and those stores chosen have been able to announce it - it just seems that no-one is saying so online.

I'll be posting more about the Sentry Box in Calgary once the Prices and Pre-Registration period has started.

At the moment, its going to be held at the store - but if they end up with 32 or more players Pre-Registering, they'll hold it off-site.

No clue where / when Canadian Regionals are, but if you're interested in competitive play, there are worse places to get your start. I got into FFG games at the 2014 Pittsburgh Regionals for X-Wing, and have been playing FFG Star Wars games ever since.

Gamer's Vault has the regional in Montreal in july. If you let us know where you are, maybe someone from your area will be able to help you.

I am on the north coast of BC, so far I'm hearing that there may be one in Vancouver, either way its about a days drive to Vancouver or Calgary

Well, I do know that the Sentry Box was told what day to hold it on, so it would not clash with other Regionals, both in Canada and the United States.

So expect, if you have the time, to be able to attend any and all you can afford to get to.

Sentry Box may very well have the Top Table (or a Random Table each round) Live Streamed as well.
