there's been quite a bit of talk about Wave 3 already, lot of disappointed players, but before you spit your dummy out and start crying, take a deep breath and step back for a moment.

I don't know if any one else has mentioned this in posts about Wave 3 (there's a lot to go through), but if you look at the product codes for the Assault Carrier and Transports, they are SWM18 & 19. The Raider is SWM15, the last product in Wave 2

As all the previous products are in numerical order, I can't see FFG missing 2 numbers out for ***** and giggles

So I really don't thing this is all for Wave 3. This is just a preview of a new trait for the game

I expect 1 more ship for each side and maybe another fighter pack.

Careful there, it is good to have this pointed out but Mikael is a fantastic forum contributer and writes for Holonet News. He's an Imperial fascist but he is no Forum Nazi.

I may agree with what you say, but I think we really should not let this get directly political.

A year and a half ago on the X-Wing side I posted a discussion on women's inclusion and even that was a topic that got out of hand and was locked. I was told to not post such topics on the forum.

I think the skipped numbers are very interesting I am personally hopping for replacement bases and card decks more then more ships.

Yes, indeed.

I'd be all in favor of replacement damage decks. Thankfully, I have not (I hope, it's been a week since I counted, *knocks on wood*) lost any damage cards, but it could easily happen. I don't want to have to buy a whole other core set in order to be tournament legal.

Ouzel, I saw your post, in which you said your friends have broken a bunch of bases. How drunk do you guys get when playing Armada, and is it fun?

Not drunk just wobbly tables and clumsy players (in 2 cases extremely clueless players) needless to say I don't let them help me put ships away any more but the still seem to hit the floor a lot more then they should.

Its two expansions, the Imperial Assault Carriers Expansion Pack and the Rebel Transports Expansion Pack,...

So, I think that's probably it for now.

Yep, it directly refers to two expansions in wave III. Not necessarily -the- only two of wave III. It's not exactly definite and we have to be careful of the context:

Wave III introduces yet another dimension to your battles. Its two expansions, the Imperial Assault Carriers Expansion Pack and the Rebel Transports Expansion Pack, introduce the "flotilla" to Armada.

The 'Its' is a possessive with regards to the introduction of the new flotilla concept which is from two named expansions. It's much like the line before, which said:

Wave II increased the game's scope even further, adding the Imperial-class Star Destroyer and Home One as the first large-base ships and increasing the standard fleet build to a full 400 points.

Which didn't mention a thing about the Raider, Rogues and Villains, or the MC30 but neither did it preclude them from being in the Wave.
