I don't get the point of the cluster missiles. Miranda has a primary turret and twin laser turret----the 6 points spent on the missiles could be better used elsewhere (such as autothrusters on the a-wings for starters). If you don't have autothrusters, then hull upgrades instead.

Also, Gemmer is not that great---generally a green squad pilot is cheaper and just as good (if not better thanks to double EPTs).

I would personally find the one point needed to swap Gemmer for Arvel, that way you can fly aggressive and ram/bump enemy ships and still fire on them at range 1.

I think Arvel has better synergy and balance in a build with Miranda and Jake. Miranda wants to sit back and chip away at enemy ships. Jake wants to arc dodge and fire off a powerful alpha strike of proton rockets. That allows Arvel to charge in, jam up the target's movements, and fire away with three dice backed up by predator ... and Arvel will do well in that roll if you can keep focused fire off of him for at least two rounds of attacks.

Tycho performs: action + PTL + action + EI + Rage each turn. Gets to reroll up to 3 attack dice and have at least a focus. He can Soontir "turtle" by: focus + PTL + evade + EI + Rage (assign 1 focus and reroll up to 3 attack dice).

Jan Ors pilot always makes the effort to give Tycho +1 attack dice so he gets max usage out of Rage and gets to throw 2 + 3 + 1 attack dice with his prockets.

Arvel is a less reliable Latts Razzi, he is supposed to crash into whoever Tycho & Jan are focus firing on...as we all know this is a great intent but wont have a 100% effectiveness rating.

These 3 ships, as such, could really ruin a palp shuttle's day. Arvel crashes into lower PS shuttle. Reduces agility from 1 to 0 with Intimidation. Jan Ors automatically hits twice with TLT provided she doesn't blank out (hence Predator rerolls). Tycho then takes a 6 dice, focus to modify, and 3 dice reroll (unless you go TL for unlimited reroll) procket shot. At 100% efficiency (not counting any potential for crits) the 5 shield 5 hull shuttle is now down to 2 hull. Arvel then fires at Range 1 with 3 dice. 2 hits (or any earlier applied crits from prockets) and the Palp-mobile wishes it hadn't taken the bulletproof glass windows off.
