The sad thing is, that's a joke that at least a few players (or prospective players) just might take serious. Why sink money into a game that gets jack for support/expansion.
I'm not bent out of shape, as I'm at least getting two ships I wanted anyway, but there will be some that do take it that way. And they will walk.

So? If they walk, that's on them. Got nothing to do with my enjoyment of the game...
I feel that, to be stereotypical, the sort of person who is expecting/demanding/willing to pitch a fit over that, is probably a more negative personality person, and they can be less-fun to play against in the first place...
I know, its a sweeping generalisation, and I'm not happy to have made it... Bt that's how my mind is thinking.
Let me set up a bucket of water over that door before they head on out.
I just don't understand the mindset of few people that are upset (and yes, I'm assuming that it's a small, but very "loud" amount of people on the forums that are upset). There's been no confirmation that the Flotillas are the only ships in Wave 3, and even if they are, isn't it better to be getting something rather than nothing? There really is no pleasing the angry ones.
I don't get it. They could never release another thing for Armada and I'd be happy.
Happier than I am with X Wing and it's bloat of special doodads and 'fixes', that's for sure. A game doesn't need a constant stream of new releases to keep it alive, it just needs to have good units and good core mechanics.
My gawd, why belly ache? We won't see these until the end of summer. Who knows what follows? Sheesh.
You kidding? They say summer. They mean Xmas.
.
Also it's notably a small release. And I sure hope we get some anti air upgrades to discourage the max squadron craze recently in wave 2
Only 2 Armada collections on ebay, and they have been up for a few days...
I think discussion is good, even if you don't like the news. Just because FFG is putting products out doesn't mean I need to drink the kool-aid and overflow with joy. But I also should be reasonable about the discussion.
I'll leave my opinion in the other threads.
I'm happy with a small release, These 2 small ships are going to have a very large impact on the game.

lol, I'm keeping an eye out for disgruntled players shedding their collections too!
That's a mighty fine door.
Well it was a real dissapointing wave announcement...I can imagine the forum crowd in the room throwing rotten vegetables at the screen , screaming obscenities and defecating on their miniatures...Then a few say ok , is there anything else ?...
I will admit that I am somewhat miffed by Wave 3...I like the Gozanti , butt the transports are nott by any means attack vessels... To me they are just an objective...Seeing 2 dinky ships instead of more Mon Calamari variants created a void or total loss of enthusiasm...Have to endure another solstice followed by heart wrenching cries of anguish and despair...That is untill either more ships get revealed or the next Wave surfaces...

And you're likely not entirely wrong. It's the same as why I defend the price tag. If you don't want it enough to pay for it, you won't pay to keep it going either, so you're no loss.
But that's not entirely correct either, as enough little groups walking away can kill the support base of a hobby. It's happened time and time again with system after system. Now by no means am I sitting here claiming "Armada is dying!" Lord no. Nor am I suggesting FFG get down on their knees and prostrate themselves at the mercy of the angry minority. Just hate to see anyone walk away from a hobby over frustration with it.
--edit--
All that said, I do think a lot of folks angry about just two ships are ignoring the new mechanics. It's "easy" to bring a new piece of plastic to the board, not so much so a new mechanic. The long wait wasn't so much the new ships, as the new depths of strategy. Imho
