I'm shocked and impressed at how quickly they got the announcement up. They must have had the article ready to post the moment the ships were leaked.

One thing I would like to point out is the image at the top of the article. It shows the Gozanti and Rebel Transports, but the edges of the image look like they've been cut off. Especially on the bottom right by the Rebel Transports. I imagine this is because there are at least two more ships in the third Wave, and the image had to be cropped to hide any spoilers.

Looks like prepainted to me. Woohoo! If those boxes are CR90 boxes ... they're tiny!

They are pre-painted. The bottom shows them in their box and they are painted. They look pretty nice.

I mean, I'm excited about this. Sure they arent big flashy ships, but I bet they add a significant dynamic to the game.

My best guess is that this is just the first preview of the next wave, and that the rest of it will come later. Show off the small stuff first then surprise everyone later with the bigger stuff.

Could be, but even if it isn't I will be happy. Armada is rockin' right now, and it isn't going away. I'm fine with small injections to the game that shake up the meta. Of course, I would prefer a *bit* more regularity

Maybe the other stuff isn't something they can spoil at this time. They have done it before with wave 8 in X-wing, but back then the Image wasn't cropped like this one. This one is blatantly obvious.

I'll point out the "cropped" look of the title picture. If the Gozanti and Rebel Transport were the only parts of this wave, you'd think they'd position them in the picture a little better.

Someone else mentioned that the picture of the two flotillas at the top of the page is badly cropped, almost like it's part of a larger picture that has the majority of its goodness hidden...

It's entirely possible that they're going to announce Wave 3 piece by piece. If only we knew of more gaming conventions in the next few months they might like to release news at as well....

For reals though, the amount of time it takes some of you to go from "Oh no news FFG must hate this game" to "Oh no there's only going to be two ships in an ENTIRE wave of expansions" is amazing.

Just relax. News is good. Armada is in a good strategic place right now. Don't worry, be happy.

I'm even going to say that wave III will be asymmetrical, because the Gozanti is way too high in the cropped picture vs. the Rebel transport. So either the Imperials are getting bigger ships (surprising, I know), or they are getting more ships.

The image has been cropped, and badly. Wonder why? 'Rogue One' spoilers, or something from 'Rebels' we haven't seen yet?

Two tiny ships with new rules, new building concepts, new balancing issues, and a host of issues.

It will be interesting.

As opposed to wave 2's 8 tiny ships, 2 small ships, and 2 FREAKING HUGE ships, each with their own rules, building concepts, balancing issues, and other issues.

Just saying, they have done SOOOO much with the first two waves, and now this? Sure it takes a degree of design and playtesting to develop and release this... but c'mon man.....
