I was wondering how they would handle these smaller ships. I figured they would of been squadrons so this is something I had not considered. . .
Assault Carriers and Rebel Transports
my guess is these will be very low point cost ships with very focused support abilities.

Yeah I'm guessing their firepower HAS to be negligible. Very few dice (if any.) I'm thinking maybe a support role like the aforementioned "shuttle" ability of maybe repair to squadrons?
Glad to see these, can't wait to see what they do. And there's no chance these are the entirety of wave 3... but some news is welcome and better than no news.
I wonder if those are not prepainted?Interesting how small a release it is. Very not in the FFG vein.
It makes me think they are just releasing a "taste" to satiate us howling wolves.
It's SOMETHING
I would bet any amount of money this is not the totality of wave three.
They look like standard imp dark gray and bone gray reb to me. I'm also wondering if it's another R&V type deally where you get both in one...
Could be. It may also be that they just haven't gotten painted versions yet, like last year when we first saw the ISD and Mon cal

It makes sense. They are also the smallest ships that I can think of. This would allow for high squadron ships
Weak sauce. Glad to see some new ships announced, but color me a bit underwhelmed. Hopefully there's more to come for Wave 3.

They would have to be laughably fragile. Like 1 or 2 hull points and 1 or 2 shields. Otherwise the danger of swarm lists being the only way to go is too high. If they stick to the lore, these ships would be extremely vulnerable to bomber forays and very very lightly armed and armored. They could probably get away with giving them a red anti-squad die, which would be interesting.
So it looks as if these two ship packs might come un-painted. It's kinda difficult to tell if they are painted already but I'm guessing they are NOT.
I hope they come all in one pack, and take the place of a squadron pack. (With more actual ships coming as the MEAT of the wave).

Now if paired with an Ion Cannon as part of a mission involving a planet ... *cough* hoth *cough*
3 hull 2 shields most likely.
queue the "how many fighters in a squadron" debate again....
Let's see, 4 TIE fighters per Gozanti ... perhaps two squadrons that can be later deployed ....

Ya know, I didn't even think about that.
Man, I'd be really annoyed if these were completely unpainted...
going by X-wing, the Transport won't attack at all. It's got some mad hacking skills, apparently (if thats what "Slicer Tools" are). They also get EM Emitters and Frequency Jammers
Dutyfree is apparently extra good at jamming things (must be the raspberry)
the Gonzati has a turret and some ordnance, so anti-squadron and anti-ship fire isn't unlikely
ALL HAIL OUR NEW SQUIPS OVERLORDS.
NO, ITS SHIWADRONS©! GET IT RIGHT!

Edit2: hey look at that, I pressed quote instead of edit.

ooh..Jamming (Raspberry) "While in medium range enemy squadrons cannot receive command orders..."
Call it what you will. Squip sounds cuter.

Something interesting that they could do, is something similar to what they did with these ships in X-Wing - that when you kill X-amount of points, you kill one of the two ships. Then flip the card over with new stats.
A squip sounds like something that might escape an orifice.
This might be all we are gonna get. A couple of packs with transports... nothing else.

it's a wet fart, like a quip from the butt

That would be neat, but I personally feel like that works on X-Wing since these ships are the biggest there is. Here, in Armada they are (presumably) on the opposite side of the spectrum. It feels like the resolution might be too small for that kind of mechanic to work. Would be a cool mechanic though!
