Upcoming Regional kits... pretty lack luster.

It's amusing to see that there's the expectation of a participation "prize". Yay. You showed up, what an exceptional effort you made! Here's your prize!

A $20 (or more) entry fee and multiple hours of driving, sometimes with a hotel stay overnight and a weekend spent, to participate in an organized play event ... yeah, the least they could do is give people a slice of card stock.

[edit] Magic players often get booster packs for participating in tournaments, I might add. It's not a strange thing for competitive games.

Am I the only one that's over the whole Challenge Coin thing? Don't get me wrong they are very cool, but I like the "I can actually use these" prizes over things that just sit there in your box.

Are they expecting people to walk up to an opponent at regionals, throw their SC challenge coin down and go "WHERE'S YOURS SCRUB?" Lol

Its a bit risky but you can flip the challenge coin for initiative.

I had a game store owner Flip out on me for that at a store championship, I recommend spinning.

To be tournament legal, these cards must be sleeved with opaque or art sleeves.

Since when have FFG required alternate-art pilot cards to be sleeved for tournament play? It's not like you need it to be indistinguishable from other cards like, say, an alt-art damage card would have to be...

I bet the price of the old Regional templates will sky rocket on ebay.

Probably a lazy copy-paste from an article for a card game in which being able to differentiate the cards without seeing the face could be an advantage.

Wow, the Hera art is ugly...

I sent the participation numbers and graphs to OP last week, noting (and congratulating them on) the record numbers we have see these last few months. Not sure it will stick though -- while at least one person over there has there head very much in the game on understanding the community pulse, at least one other (sadly, important) person does not.

It a a bit of a shame they didn't stick with the system open style cards. Everyone gets a cardboard copy, top 64 get a plastic spot highlighted version.

I'm a little bothered by the cluster mine tokens, given that they're something out d long been noted comes in a box with an upgrade that means you simply don't have enough of them.

No templates :( Cluster Mines instead of Conner Net :(

Coins!

Please FFG give us things people want and can use. Please

Pretty disappointed. If not for the dice, this would totally look like a store championship kit

How did they mess up the art on the hera card so badly?

I'm making one for myself with a screencap from the show in protest

Hera looks really like a wack looney crazy person on the art. Paint her Lekku red and her face white and she could immediately go date the Joker.

I think, from the blurryness, mild colour I can make out, that it's alt art Hera pilot. But, for which ship I can't tell.

If it is, my eyes are better than I thought. Tweeted a guy who posted a pic from the event. See if he could see it better.

Wow, I guessed right from that awful pic!

...I play this game too much. It's burned into my very soul at this point. Show me a totally blurry, never-seen-before card and I know who it is. *sigh*

Also I seem to be the only person totally fine with this prize pack. I'm usually only interested in the alt arts (I like Hera, despite the crazy look) and sometimes the acrylic tokens (mines are fine with me). Dice look ace (not that I'll get that far) and the coin vs medal thing literally has no effect on me.

Bring it on!

Hera and Dash need to go in the same list... Call it the alt-art rejects.

I love the kit! Now I want to do more regionals and I appreciate that acrylic prizes extend beyond the top 8. However, I do hope they reduce the coin weight. The store champ ones are pretty hefty for flipping on the table. Those dice are soooo awesome that I hope they appear next year too! One final request - give us more scum options in future kits - on the coins and alternate art!

If only they could fit with a Gold squad Y-Wing too.
