Things are going quite well so far, only the bounty hunter has been offered the bodyguard license by cloud city wing guard to assist with the investigation into the death of Doctor Ularin by the murder bots. This has meant that the Wookiee Marauder ahs had to leave his heavy battle armour, modified bowcaster, modified vibro-axe on the ship and play a little nicer whilst in civilised sections of cloud city.
As if things weren't complicated enough I have now introduced elements of two addtional adventures:
The old SW Gamer magazine adventure, Cloud Cover, and the order 66 Podcast adventure Enemy of My Enemy. It made sense as they all take place on cloud city. The Ace has registered for the Cloud City Grand Prix but has been recognised by Sector Rangers and been strong armed into helping with the plot of Enemy of My Enemy. The Thief has been tracking down an old girlfriend (through triggered obligation) and stumbled on the Rebel plot of the Cloud Cover adventure. The Bounty Hunter is helping with the Crises on Cloud City murder bot investigation. I now just need to find something extra to engage with the Wookiee Marauder player, many of the upcoming encounters should pique his interest and the Rebel plot may link in with an aspect of his background/obligation, which would start to link everything together.
This has created lots of addtional tension, distracted the PCs from thier original heist, but also meant lot of split party or single player encounters. Hopefully i am at a point where everyone needs to start working together again to solve all of the loose plot threads. It has been a lot of fun so far.
I would describe this as an ultimate sand-box/rail-road combo. The players have lots of options but i actually know where all of these options lead, however i am expecting the players to surprise me a few times before everything gets resolved.
