TIE Advanced pilots not named "Darth Vader"

By Comradebot, in X-Wing

Agreed. I'd rather give Defender Maarek Calculation and call it good. Probably with the TIE x/7 title.

I had a lot of fun with Col Vessery (no cannon), Maarek w/ ATC, and 2 generic Tie FO's. The Target Locks were free flying and Col V. got free use of them.

The PS2 Adv. Title. Accuracy Corrector. Cluster Missile.

X4.

16 guaranteed hits on the opening salvo.

Palpmobile? Gone. Decimator (Vader or Palp)? Gone.

Falcon? Gone. Dash? See ya.

TLT Ys? 2 of them likely gone.

IG88s? 1 of them likely gone.

Aces? At least 1 of them likely gone.

And after the opening salvo your doing a minimum of 2 hits every single time.

That's another TLT Y wing a turn (assuming all 4 are alive).

As for defense...Focus? TL? Why? Just evade every turn.

Yes, it has drawbacks...but if your going to run multiple Advanced, this is a brutal way to do it.

Try some of the generics with Accuracy some time. Its a great deal of fun, excepting only vs Aces.

Are yes these are also great, set to become even better with guidance:

100 (4x) Tempest w/ ClusterM, Guidance, X1, AccCor.

Make agility 0-1 ships sad-face.

Before guidance chips, it has an expected damage of 17 on its alpha-strike round.

After... Well, GC and Accuracy become rather redundant, as you'd only use Accuracy if you rolled 0 damage, or had used the GC on the previous attack of the two. Still, it's a damage expectation of well over 17, as the natural 2s get bumped up to 3s :)
