As far as I know, I'm the only guy in the world who runs a Maarek Stele themed gaming event. I thought his look was a little tired so I commissioned Marvel Star Wars artist Mike Mayhew to give him a new look! The originals just arrived in the mail today so I thought I'd share!

Here I was thinking this was going to be a post lamenting Maarek Stele not being good enough to use or some such, and I was going to rush in "Seriously? Maarek is AMAZING with the x1 title and ATC!" Which, I mean, he is.

Instead, some truly AMAZING art. Thanks, OP, made a dull day at work a little more interesting. With that said, Maarek is a rather unhappy looking man. Dude seriously needs to get laid.

I think he's grumpy because his uniform is cut way too tight. I mean, that thing's clearly tailored, but of if it's as tight down below as it is up top, it's not going to feel great.

It's obvious not his pilot suit, I guess he is on the way to some political bull and not at all impressed. It's not only his uniform, he makes fists as well and you see a lot tension in his body language, which shows how talented the artist is.

If you read his back story, yes, he really did have a sh*tty time in TIE Fighter.
