Monday Night Gaming: X-Wing

By KrisSherriff, in X-Wing

It's that time again guys!

We are going for a more laid back show this week where we are going to look at mission play.

Myself and Greg will be playing the missions from Rebel Aces and the YV-666 pack. Just to ensure that we all get our Dog Fight fix we will also feature a normal game afterwards but again as it is a more laid back approach we will be taking talk from the table and discussing our options and why we chose what we do.

To continue our ship chatter we will look at another Wave 1 ship that received a new lease of life, the TIE/Adv.

As usual we will have some chatter about the recent league results, announce the winner of last weeks contest for some Acrylic Focus Tokens and more!

Tune in at 7:30 PM EST

Thanks

Kris

P.S. First show with the new Mic so a perfect opportunity to troll in Twitch Chat...

why wait for twitch chat i'll start here.

"is the sound supposed to be on because it doesn't seem like anything is happening."

Lol.

See you there, Kris.

Seriously tho, im pumped.

Thanks for watching guys,

Think the Mic was good once I figured out how to turn it up.

Hope you enjoyed me getting crushed in 3 games!!!

Kris

The mic was nice, and nice looking too. Well done all 'round. Except the losing part lol.

Next time I think I will read the missions before I make my list :P

The last Dog Fight I was a little disappointed in my sloppy play made some mistakes but thought the idea of explaining the table tactics with Calvins commentary as well could be a nice addition to the show?

Learning games with somewhat open discussion between the players are good games I think, for beginners especially but also for veterans. We get the insight of the other player's thought process and decision making. I like playing these sort of games too, and not just for teaching new players.

These sort of 'open' games compare to 'normal' games in my mind the same as a movie vs. the book. In a book you get the character's thoughts where in the movie it's mostly their actions. Generally speaking of course.
