Well, I hate to be THAT guy but I ordered a Ghost and a TIE proto. They are birthday presents from January if it makes you feel better.

I'd initially only pre-ordered a Punishing One and a Mist Hunter, but decided I needed another Hunter and a TAP over the weekend, so I went to my flgs yesterday and I was all like "What you getting in, what you getting ? I need Moar!" and they were all like "Chill bro, we got you."

I only last week told my flgs to order a Mist Hunter for me, we'll see if I get one. That is really the main goal for me, with the Tractor Beams.

This is a COMMUNITY - that's real people just talking about things that have directly to do with X-Wing or surrounding X-Wing. That's not just talking about the percentage of rolling hits over evades or what upgrades go best where. If money is tight, I'd like to be able to jump on here and say, "Hey, I can only afford one ship - which one should I get?" without someone acting like a jerk and chastising me for daring to mention the personal matter that I can only afford one ship.

For what it's worth, my local store championship is Saturday. Release day is, of course, Thursday. I preordered Wave 8 Scum from CoolStuff in hope that I'd have my new stuff before Saturday. In my Eeyore-heart-of-hearts, I know it's not going to arrive in time.

I only accept Bitcoin and gold dust for screenings. PM the messages and put the word count on the bottom to save me time. I charge by the minute. As a new customer, you get a 5% discount for two months.

I just pulled the trigger on the 1x Ghost, 2x Mist thing maggigy ,1x interceptors just because they look cool (doubt I'll use it), and 1x Jumpmaster 5000. They are just plastic stuff that you can acquire in 5 months to a year so I am not really bragging. Was this a post looking for someone to send you a free ship. If it really means that much to you PM your address and I'll send you 1x. After-all, my pregnant wife did not get bitten by a mosquito in Brazil and now I got to sweat the next 9 months. You dealing with a 1st world problem of such minor import. I recommend putting something be the front door to remind you everyday that you basically won the lottery of life given that this is what concerns you. Get some reggae and listen deep....drink deep.

I live in a third world country for two years, and during that time I slept in the jungle a lot while I was there. I got boils the size of nickels and pooped lots of water. I got bit by mean skeleton-looking Chihuahua dog type things. Ate pig meat with 3 inches of fat on it. No exaggeration. Glad to be in 'Merica now.

I've never pre-ordered and this is the first wave I have started to regret that decision. The growth of the community and player base has grown so much it looks like another wave 1 run against the stock...

Thank you, but it's really not necessary. I actually do have some perspective about the relative importance of plastic spaceships in my life, and the problem isn't that I can't afford it--it's that I have other priorities that come first. I'll get the ships as they're available and as I can afford them.

I wasn't asking for charity, I was asking for some reassurance that there's a successful model for picking up X-wing that doesn't involve dropping an enormous roll of cash all at once as soon as possible--and lots of people have already helped with that.

Cool. Only coolstuff has run out but I suspect that might be a tactic to force people to move purchasing. I know it made a friend buy earlier than he would have liked. He wanted to wait and see how good they were then buy believing the interceptor seems hyped and the Ghost while cool sound not a very good point use. I was surprised that the ghost shuttle didn't physical detach as it looked easy with it being cradled in there. Must have been concerned with tournament time or something because that is what made the goz cool.

The inquisitor has been going down in price so that tells me most are choosing to buy on one. I think plenty are buying two Misthunter. So I think based on my vague insights that only the Misthunter and Jumpmaster are going to be hot. I think FF accounted for extra mist hunters being bought because of the tractor beam so unlike the Jumpmaster I don't think that it will run out. That tractor beam is the new Autothrusters.

Vorpal was hardly saying those things, a simple "You'll be fine mate" would have sufficed, but no you had to bring the high and mighty 'first world problems' meme into things. Yes in perspective there is much suffering in the world and this is a tiny minuscule problem, but it is something Vorpal wanted an answer to and not a sermon on how he should consider himself lucky.

At best you will have some in your hands Vorpal and can play like everyone else, at worst you need to wait a few weeks for a restock, this is why people pre-order and I advise doing that in the future given how the game is taking off thanks to Star Wars' resurgence in the public mind.

Between CSI and MM I was able to order all the new wave 8 ships last night when I go home from work. Always interesting to watch the races while checking the tracking. Sometimes MM gets to the doorstop first and other times CSI beats MM by a day.

I really like it and I hope I can make use out of it. That said, in a lot of ways it's simply another 3 agility 2 attack ship that doesn't really change how the imperial list it slots into is played, so I can see how it isn't a big seller.

Well to be fair its going to be 3-6 months for reprints of ships that get completely sold out. Takes a while to get new ships made shipped over for China.

Jumpmasters are going to be gone in the first couple weeks here. expect to wait that 3-6 months for reprints or pay stupid high prices on secondary market.

Ghost... not sure but it will be popular. Good chance it sells out in the first month or so.

Really the lesson is pre-order 1 of each ship in the future if that is at all possible for you financially. Or be patient and wait for reprints.

You may have typed "Jumpmaster" instead of "Punishing One." Which is probably why a bunch of exercise equipment kept coming up. :-)
