So, we are trying to break into epic some in my local group. I have poked around in the rules since the first epic ship dropped, but putting them into practice has been a little daunting. the biggest thing is that the rules are very fragmented, and often contradictory, such as the change to huge ships starting with full energy. additionally, some rules are not addressed at all in some books, but covered in detail in others. Has anyone done some cut and paste and produced a single, complete, up to date, corrected volume (PDF) where all the rules could be found? If this has not been done, is there someone out there who would be willing to do it? while I am on the subject, here are a few questions that we ran into:

Huge ships start with full energy on the ship card, are the upgrade cards empty? or are they at max energy as well?

What is the timing on tibanna gas? we had a player take the recover action, which took all the energy off of his ship card, then spend gas to get some energy back, then allocate it and fire, all in the same round. Seems legit to me, is it?

I was running a raider with ordnance tubes equipped as a mod on the read, and one hard point was running protons and the other assault missles. I still need a target lock to fire these, correct? I can choose to shoot either one out of either read arc, (or both out of the same side?) this would require to target locks as well, which makes weapon engineer critical to this build.

We ran into several other questions, but I'll save them for now. So, how about that epic compendium?

Energy:

Since Allocate Energy comes before Use Energy, you can allocate energy to your secondary weapons, then use Tibanna Gas Supplies to recover energy on your ship so that it'll be available for a planned Recover action, though.

(Incidentally, thanks for asking this question, because I just now realized that I've been skipping about between the Allocate Energy and Use Energy steps willy-nilly, tapping Tibanna Gas to get energy that I assign to a secondary weapon, for instance.)

Attack (target lock):Impetuous

Yes, you can fire secondary weapons out of any arc on the section of the ship to which they're equipped. The Raider only has one arc (and only one hardpoint) on its forward section, so anything there can only fire out the forward arc. The aft section has two hardpoints and two arcs, and if you've got weapons in both hardpoints, they can each fire out of either arc.
