Are either of these worth pursuing and trying? Or would a Firespray be a better option to pair with Dengar?

I feel like you need to make Dengar a torpedo boat or a Fat Turret with the title. Having him do both seems like a waste of the 12 points you are putting into the title. I haven't flown the JM5k yet so I might be talking out of my butt.

I also haven't really flown the toilet seat, but it seems to me that dengar doesn't make a very good torpedo boat. He's too expensive. Also, deadeye is mostly unnecessary on a PS9 ship. He would be much happier with an EPT that actually boosted his efficiency in some way (such as PTL or predator). Or at least that's my feeling...

This is not my original build (on the Dengar) so I'm not taking credit for this but I like the idea of Dengar + IG88-B more and more. All theory crafting until I can actually start flying one.

I really like this build and will probably test it out when I get Punishing One later this week. Hopefully it will be good for an upcoming tourney

Here's what I've settled on - I don't have EI I realized as I never bought the pack that contains it. So I'm going gunboat Dengar + Punishing One and an IG-88B

Edit: I also don't feel like I'm losing that much from Brobots B+C. I'm gaining a 360 arc, a great PS + Pilot Ability and one hull. I know the tech to support the missiles is pretty heavy, 5 upgrades specifically for that, so if I wanted to, I could build him out differently and still probably come out ahead of Brobots.

I could drop possibly Boba + Tractor Beam + Extra Munitions to put HLC on IG-88B but I really don't have a problem with Mangler - I love the range 1, love the crit, love the fact that I'm supporting Dengar with crits (seriously, focus fire from these two ships would be insane - I have the potential of two guaranteed crits from Dengar + another crit from IG-88B)
