As for my bad attitude? If you read my post, you'll see I made sure to use words and phrases like "as for me," "personally," and "your mileage may vary." I really don't think it was 'guns blazing' or hurtful toward anyone; it was one valid opinion wrapped up in a tortilla of facts and educated inferences. And it was in response to a legitimate question; I attempted to provide a legitimate answer.

There's absolutely no reason the consecutive conversation should have turned hostile ... or started down the path of bullying.

I've seen this sort of thing happen too many times on these EotE threads to not immediately nip it in the bud.

Do I have a negative opinion regarding F&D? Absolutely. Do I think more people should understand not all of us are buying into all three lines of SW FFG materials? Absolutely. None of this is passive aggressive at all.

If you disagree with some of my statements and assertions? Cool! In fact, I expect most of you will since I actually had to answer the question posed in the first place. (As opposed to others pointing out where I was coming from and voicing their own supporting views.) But no one should act like I'm suddenly a "villain" or some kind of idiot for holding a differing POV regarding this SW rpg franchise we all obviously care about.

Fair enough - sometimes I see new posters having a hard time, and I really do wish they would feel welcome.

But a lot of them do charge in, all guns blazing... even if they don't mean to.

And really, there's no point at this stage getting upset over the three lines. Plenty of people wish they'd done things differently. But this is how FFG decided to do it, and that's the way of it. We might see things reprinted - there's two versions of Lanniks out there - but we might not.

And if all you want is Devaronian stats, wait until they are in OggDude's free character editor. Job done, as we say in the UK.

So stick around, comment on things and try not to come across as too aggressive, maybe. This forum is quite good compared to many.

That's probably more Amazon than FFG. Amazon has some weird product category listings sometimes.

I have e-mailed amazon countless times about that issue, they claim they cannot change it because the publisher defines the category.

So all they can do is to refund my credit card once the product is delivered.

Well, The Long Arm of the Hutts adventure is three years old and that Rebels episode with the latest information on the fate of Geonosis is only a couple of weeks old so of course FFGs information is not up-to-date.

Personally I'm more inclined to go with what FFG published. The setting could be considered "their property" (setting in the games, not Star Wars in general obviously), so as long as they're not writing things that are incredibly wrong, like all TIE pilots are Ewoks or something, I'd go with their take.

But again, it's whatever the GM and group want to do. If they want to put Mickey Mouse ears on the helmets of stormtroopers, it's their game. *I* wouldn't want to play in it, but if they enjoy it, more power to them.

Gotta agree with the comments here. Missing Biths and Jawas here was a major FFG misstep.

I'm sure there's a business-related reason Jawas aren't in here, like I don't know a Tatooine sourcebook, but they're in the character generator so who cares.

Bith are more often engineers and scientist than they are technicians. They just wouldn't fit in this book. I'm hoping the Engineer splat for AoR has Bith, Skakoan, and maybe Ugnaught.
