Bring on the long-awaited expansion for MM:E. My 7 yr-old son asks me about it every day.

That would be great, but probably not going to happen. Last year MM was part of the big Thanksgiving clearance sale, which usually indicates it was not selling well. I'm disappointed as well, because it's a fun game and everyone that's played it has liked it.

I'm pretty new to the boardgame scene and FFG. What is this Thanksgiving sale of which you speak?
The past couple of years FFG has had a Thanksgiving clearance sale. Some of their older Silver Line games like Quicksand and the Hobbit were about $5 apiece. Some of their RPG stuff, Rackham minis, old discwars and CCG cards were heavily discounted to various prices. Micro Mutants was on sale last year (I can't remember the price) and so I figured it was rough sales wise. I hope that the last year has shown a pick me up, but we'll see.
