Starting Scum list

Hi all

I have just recently caught the bug for this game, and decided that as friends are all going imperial/rebel I would go with the Scum, and leanr firt on teh ships that I actually have.

I would appreciate some thoughts on an scum squad list to learn on.

My current thoughts as a starting point are the following:


Emon Azzameen (47)
Firespray-31 (36), K4 Security Droid (3), Andrasta (0), Munitions Failsafe (1), Proximity Mines (3), Cluster Mines (4)

Kavil (28)
Y-Wing (24), Unhinged Astromech (1), Marksmanship (3), BTL-A4 Y-Wing (0)

Cartel Marauder (24)
Kihraxz Fighter (20), Concussion Missiles (4),Munitions Failsafe (1)

total 100 points

I can field everything in this list or beg/borrow upgrades from friends.

Would this be a viable list to run with as a starter? I have the following ships to select from: 2x Z95, 2xY-Wing,1x HWK290, 1xKihraxz and 1 Slave1.

BTL-A4 doesn't let you do anything more without a Turret and Kavil's ability means BTL-A4 forbids him from using his ability

Ah, yup - i forgot to add a turret!

Drop the BTL-A4, add Blaster Turret (4) and drop both upgrades from the Kihraxz.

Give it a go and see what you like and don't.

Personally I don't like bombs, especially clusters because its an unmodified 2 red dice per cluster explosion, not quite enough for how troublesome it is to use~

Tri this:

Emon is fun, he makes bombs fairly unpredictable, however minitions fail safe does not work with bombs or mines as You do not attack with them, munitions fail safe only works with secondary weapons that have the "attack: discard this card" written on the card.

Maybe stick an ion cannon on emon so your opponent really doesn't want to be on either side of emon and then it makes it all the more fun when they have to move through all 3 cluster mine tokens (did this to Vader on Friday)

Very, very solid starting list for scums (both in skill and cashwise too), that i personally started my scum adventures is:

2xThug +TLT,Unhinged

50 points Boba fitted to your liking, i suggest:

VI + HotShot+ Recspec + EU

or

VI + Dampeners + Tactician + EU

or

PtL+K4+EU (+glitters if you are willing to trade one astromech for it)

Or if you like Kavil, pretty same list but shifting balance to Ys a bit:

Thug +TLT,Unhinged

Kavil +TLT,Unhinged

Kath Scarlet +Adaptability,Tactician,EU

Munition Failsafe does not work with bombs, as they are not weapons by game rules, just rockets and torpedos.

With those sets, a nice list might be Two Y-Wings, (thugs or a mix) two Ion Cannons and either unhinged or R4 agro mechs.
Torkil Mux is my favorite Hawk personally, with a blaster turret, maybe use outlaw tech with him.
If you have the points either go with a Z95 or two, or a Talonbane with Glitter.

Have fun with it, scum is a very versatile faction.
