1. Approach the base of the ship you intend to move (not the ship model).

2. Slowly and carefully with a downward motion set your finger tip on the BASE of the ship (not the ship model)

3. While holding the base of the ship in place slide the selected maneuver template into the front guides and place a finger tip onto the top of it and hold it in place.

4. While holding the template in place you may now lift the ship model by pulling in straight upwards (holding it by the base and not the ship model.)

5. Slide the ship base towards the template that is being held in place and set the rear guides to the template.

6. Congratulate yourself for accurately moving a ship without it popping off its base,or breaking a peg.

I made it all the way to step 5 and then I broke two cannon barrels off a B-Wing somehow.

Instructions unclear; templates led to my car, drove to FLGS, bought another Rebel Aces, came back home, played the Gozanti campaign, repainted my ships, and... wait, where was I?

Every time I try to get a template to reach from the front guides to the rear guides it just folds and breaks.I think because of the cardboard construction. Maybe a rubbery plastic would be better.

But anyways....my point is....I see it a lot where people hold a ship in place by pushing down hard on the actual top of the model. Bending and breaking all manner of stuff.

Or, alternatively...not touching anything and just pushing a ship up against a template that's laying on the board... Moving it noticeably or not actually in position correctly.

It's painful to watch sometimes.

It's not that difficult to move these pieces around safely and accurately is it?

But anyways....my point is....I see it a lot where people hold a ship in place by pushing down hard on the actual top of the model. Bending and breaking all manner of stuff.

Or, alternatively...not touching anything and just pushing a ship up against a template that's laying on the board... Moving it noticeably or not actually in position correctly.
