They aren't going to create another SKU just to compete with an existing SKU.

Would we be willing to pay $150 - $180 for it though? Actually, with individual paint jobs, it might have to retail for $200. I'm not sure that we would see it from FFG, but it might be a really nice package for a commissioned painter to offer!
TIE Fighters would be the easiest, but I don't know that I would change mine too much there.
12 Kihraxz Fighters though with a Black Sun paint job with all individual markings? Yes, please.
12 X-Wings or T70 X-Wings with squad colors and markings? Yes, please.
12 B-Wings? Probably not...
12 Z-95 Headhunters might be cool but I'm not sure... wait a minute... yeah, with Guidance chips... scary... ok, add that in too (either Scum or Rebel)
A lot of other ships might work in groups, but not a full set of 12 for me...
Why would they do that? I am already to the point I need to sell off half my collection because they never get played. I have 4 epic ships that haven't been played once! I certainly don't need massive multipack.
Gotta say no. Mainly because one of the things I love about this game is that nothing is "special edition" or "limited run". I loath games that do that crap. The fact that they still produce the original core set when the new one is out makes me like FFG even more. Nothing worse the being late to the party and learning you missed out on stuff.
12 TIE Interceptors! Cos 3 different paint schemes is not enough!
12 Attack Shuttles/Aggressors! Who cares if there are only 4 unique pilots!
12 Decimators/YV-666/VCX-100! Cos at this point who really cares anymore!
12 TIE Advanced - without the Raider cards - so FFG can sell mawr Raiderz!
why not sell thematic squads?
You know, alt (looking at armada) card for Howlie and her squad with designated numbers for each, with different art but same stats)

While I would love to see certain squadrons in their full glory... There's only one which stands out as being worth doing... Obsidian Squadron in the Empire Strikes Back blue ties. Just because the only way to get blues (theoretically the 'correct' colour for ties depending on who you ask) is with an epic. That said, not sure in that situation I would want custom markings on em, ruins the whole point of being screen accurate.
I suppose a Red squadron pack might sell (what with the screen time and again already having most of the squadron in the game) the markings are also fairly simple to do at home with a permenant marker though.
In the world where I have the money to make a $150+ gaming purchase more than twice a year, I would probably buy the following:
Rogue Squadron: 12 x wings with all of the pilots to fly for rogue squadron in tbe EU. Maybe throw in a T-70 or 2 for fun.
Defender 12 pack: is Isard's Revenge the only time we've seen 12 of these in one place? It doesn't matter, throw in some fun cards, make up some pilots,maybe let Vader fly one like he did in TIE Fighter (pretty please?).
Anyways, either of these might get me to try Epic because you can never have enough defenders and Rogue squadron is pretty cool.

There's no way in hell I would want this. Because there's no way FFG would resist putting new unique cards in the stupid thing. And there's no ******* way I would buy a pack of 12 ships to get some cards. I already hate buying packs of 2 ships for cards.
If it were purely a cosmetic luxury thing I'd be all for it, but knowing FFG they would probably put the X-Wing fix into a set like that.
I think the alternative artwork of the materials is good enough for a "limited release" For those that want pilot cards without the ship there you go start getting into those store championships and premier tournaments.
Now it could go a step further with say an alternate paint scheme champion ships (with kill marking details) as a tournament prize instead of say medals or plaques.
But as for limited release alternative paint job simply no, same for packs that contain pilot cards without the ship again a big and total NO, pilot cards without the ship model are pointless and should not be sold individual. X-wing is a miniatures game, not a card game, the cards just makes the bookkeeping easier than having to use hundreds of sheets of paper. They are not the focus of the game.

Edited by PanchoX112 seems a bit much to me, and to be honest I don't think it'd sell well at 12 (although give me Rogue Squadron with the Bacta War paint schemes and I'm not sure I'd be able to resist...). I think 6 would sell better, but even then I think it'd be tough to justify it.
Few people would buy 12. FLGSs wouldn't stock them on account of the shelf space they take up.
I like the idea though and I think there is merit in a 3 pack that contains the contents of 3 individual blisters at a reduced cost to help those of us that want swarms.
