Rebels Beginner Game - Online Session - Players Wanted!

By Jaspor, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Hey folks!

Rancor Publishing Group is at it again! This time we're getting ready to release a Beginner Game adventure based on the Star Wars Rebels series. Set on Lothal during the fight between the Empire and the crew of the Ghost, Shadow Over Tarkintown leads players through an exciting original adventure that requires fast thinking and even faster acting to avoid getting caught in the crossfire.

We'll be running a beta test of the adventure on Friday, April 1st, starting at 9pm EDT. The session will take place entirely online using Roll20 and Google Hangouts.

While we'd like to give preference to new players or those with very little experience in the FFG SWRPG system, all interested players will be welcome!

If you're interested, head over and read more on the Rancor Publishing Group forums and fill out the survey to apply. If there's enough interest, we'll very likely run several of these.

Thanks for the support so far, and looking forward to some more fun Star Wars RPG action!

We've got a handful of submissions so far, but still looking for a few more to fill the first group!

Newcomers especially welcome! Don't be shy, we already have one total and complete newb who will be part of the group. :D

Personally, I was not too enthused with the idea of a Rebels themed source book, but I was wholly impressed with the effort you folks put in and the final product's polish and assembly.

Best of luck with this. Really.

Thanks! It's not for everyone, but we're pretty enthusiastic about the whole thing and really appreciate the support the whole community has given so far!

Seconded.

I'm interested, but being in a GMT+10 zone and having a busy schedule usually screws me out of this stuff.

I really like the book. Hope this one is good to. This may get me some more players.

Thanks to those who have filled out the form! It looks like we are all set for the April 1st session, just waiting for one or two people who expressed interest to re-confirm their availability. Once that's done, I'll send out emails to everyone who responded (even those who were not available or selected for the first session).

There's almost enough interest to get a second session going, and we're still accepting responses. So if you're interested, particularly if you're a newish player, feel free to still submit your info! :)

When will this be available?

When will this be available?

Right now we're just going to run it a few times to make sure it feels fun and the pacing is good. Then it's just a matter of finishing all the artwork and design layouts. I'm hoping we'll have it out within the next 4-6 weeks.

I'll be checking for updates. Thanks.

So the first session last week was a smashing success! Thanks to those who signed up and participated! We received some great feedback and are making some minor adjustments.

We're going to be running a second (and likely final) beta session on Thursday, April 14th, beginning at 8:30PM EDT. If you are interested, you can find more info on our official forums.

And for those curious to see some of the progress, check out the latest versions of the pre-made PC portfolios!

Oh look, there's a particular date next week which might make sense for the release of this...

*builds hype*

May 3rd? That'd be competing with Star Wars: Bloodline though, at least in the US. And the 5th is out in the UK for the same reason.

Not really sure what that leaves to be honest...
