Overclocked R4

OCR4 does not work any time during the combat phase; only when you spend focus

Given that it actively hinders focus acquisition through stress generation and/or forcing a less flexible, more easily blocked dial, it's really not a great card by any means

Attaching what is probably among the worst by far epts in the game to it does not IMO help matters

Overcharged does not hinder focus acquisition for the same reason Corran's ability does not prevent you from firing.

Assuming you go white green white green with overcharged TLT Y's, you haven't actually lost any actions. Over the course of the game you're still getting the same amount of actions if not more with Overcharged.

If you're alternating greens and whites you're only using the ability every other turn. And your opponent knows exactly where you're going next round on the turns after you do use it.

Tlt Y + 1-2 forward = dead tlt

Stress = more predictable, easier to bumo ; easier to avoid

Of course, just like the card says. I only meant to be on the lookout for future effects besides bodyguard that count as spending a focus token that can be done during the combat phase. R4 Agromech will only ever be able to be used when attacking.

I'm not looking to break the meta with Bodyguard + O-R4, but the list I have in mind seems really fun to play. Doesn't matter that much to me where I move to clear stress because of the PWT. As long as I can get in the way and allow my other ships to shine. K4 is just icing on the cake.

Is there anything preventing the use of Bodyguard more than once in a round? It doesn't seem expressly forbidden, which has interesting (and FAQ worthy) implications.

It's a "once per opportunity thing", it's spelled out somewhere.

"start of combat" is a single opportunity.

It is actually forbidden in the Rules Reference: "A card ability cannot be resolved more than once during the timing specified on the card."

Although I'd say Proton+Proton+Flechette sounds better to me

Yep 100% right, unhinged works so well because five speed three moves gives you a large area to cover.

If you can only do forward not only will they know where you'll be they can exploit the doughnut hole that much easier.
