If I lose an intrigue challenge, when can I play Like Warm Rain?

Is it before or after my opponent discards a card from my hand? I'm confused as to the timing when you can play it.

It's before claim, as it is a reaction to losing the challenge. In the oft-used mnemonic "DUCK", that's a reaction to "D" (Determine Winner/Loser), which is before you are awarded unopposed/rivals power (U), apply Claim ©, or resolve Keywords (K).
