Isn't that where 'Dorsal Turret' comes into play? It gives the HWK a R3:1A (in arc), R2:2A, and R1:3A with the latter 2 being 'all arcs'

shut your mouth, if they do the hwk instead of the ewing I will be all sorts of riled up. The hwk is fine, really, lots of people play it. When was the last time you saw an ewing played that wasnt corran horn, especially in competitive play?

There is an announcement, Imperial Veterans. Wave 9 will be announced at GAMA or AdeptiCon during the Hoth System Open.

So Wave 8 is hitting the shelves on St. Paddy's Day.

The HWK gets a little better every time a new Turret or Crew comes out. It is the cheapest crew carrier for Rebel and Scum and has named pilots with solid abilities. I sincerely doubt we'll ever see a huge fix for the HWK, though we may see an alternate title at some point.

It could be worse, we could be those poor saps in the "Forbidden Stars" forums just waiting for news of one new release.

Is "Forbidden Stars" really that bad of a game and lacking so much it needs an expansion?

I donno, T-65 is a must fix(but that may wait until the Rouge One stuff, sadly) they really need to fix the E-wing, outside Horn it is pretty unflyable right now. I can find more room for Hwks then E-wings.

As someone who once naively owned a computer with Windows ME, I would happily revert back to using that POSOS rather than miss out on the chance to own an FFG Assault Gunboat or six.

I didn't own one, far too savvy at the time. But I did have to work on one. It was horrible and unstable, and not in a good way.

I'd sooner work on and try to play games on a PC running Microsoft Bob over windows ME running 8 megs of ram and on an IDT winchip architecture it if means we get our gunboats and avengers.

Besides that, I see your claim and I raise it by saying I will defend windows 8 on tablets to death if you give me two TIE/ad Avengers and suitable pilots for them. Something with PS8, EPT and Omega Leaders ability for example, Well and another Maarek Stele. But iirc Soontir Fel was for a while on the avengers as well. ;-)

I briefly had ME, after being given a free "upgrade" from 98. I say briefly because someone answered my prayers and destroyed that machine (lightning strike fried it. Definitely divine intervention), necessitating a shiny new build, just as XP was about to launch. Pretty sure that was the first year I built around an AMD chip, too.

LOVE. IT.

Frankly the Cygnus stuff always meshed really well with the capital ships for me. The wings, lines, colours, etc etc always work for me (the Theta-class from Ep.III was probably the only prequel-era ship design I like, but that's neither here nor there).
