So Wave 8 is hitting the shelves on St. Paddy's Day.

And it's looking doubtful there'll be a Wave 9 preview or announcement before then.

If this is the case, and not counting Imp Vets, will this be the first time in X-Wing history that there is not an upcoming Wave?

That's inconceivable, the TIE Avenger and Assault Gunboat still haven't been released yet.

You should listen to the Doxcast Radio episode with Alex Davey then... he talks about Wave 9 being done and they are in development of Wave 10...

Wave 4 also released before the Wave 5 announcement, and Wave 3 was out for quite some time before the Wave 4 announcement.

Basically, it has just been the last two GenCon announcement with a lot of overlap. The waves that get early releases at GenCon oten have the next wave announced before the earlier one is released, but there's usually been a gap in the Spring.

I think you will be ok I mean look at the Armada no news in over 1 year, it's stupid at this point. There will be something coming out soon, trust me FFG will not risk damaging its most popular game.

I am too lazy to do this at this point but go look at the news page for X-wing to guess when your next wave news is coming out, you can trend it based on what they have done in the past. Also with gencon in a couple months I bet you anything what ever wave 9 is there will be ships there with imp aces on sale and a scum epic.

If this listen to the interview with Alex on te scum and villainy podcast, he hints at the fact they have a ton of things in the works. I believe he said when it's appropriate a T65 fix will be coming, out. My guess is wave 9 news in 2-3 weeks and around sept a new aces pack will be told to us along with a Scum Epic or two.

that's my guess with a Hwk-290 fix as it has been put the longest and needs something to up its atk by 1 or decrease points by -2

Isn't that where 'Dorsal Turret' comes into play? It gives the HWK a R3:1A (in arc), R2:2A, and R1:3A with the latter 2 being 'all arcs'

Dorsal Turret helps a lot of turret ships needing cheap boosts.

And yes, we'll all be fine if there's no immediate Wave 9 announcement. Wave 8 is not even in hand yet.

I haven't seen this much impatience since I was a tot waiting for Christmas morning. I think the problem is FFG spoiling so much of a wave that most of the new stuff is playable before its actual release.

Dorsal is fine but I still think the Hwk needs a little something something past that. I really think the next rebel ace box is going to be T-65 and Hwk.
