One particular thing that's been bugging me in the Armoury chapter is the listed meltagun weights. At 40 and 46 kg, the carrying limitations for these basic weapons are on par with heavy ones. The Mezoa-pattern is even heavier than a multi-melta, which I find hard to believe is correct. If anything, I'd put the meltagun weights more along the lines of 18 kg like the plasma gun. Are the printed meltagun weights a mistake, or are they really suppose to be that heavy?
Meltagun weights as intended?
Compared to the DH melta weapons these weights do seem rather high (a DH meltagun is 8kg).
Unfortunately there are a lot of eratta in the book...

Actually, there's no eratta in the book yet - just a whole lot of errors.

While a lot of DH errata has made it into the RT rules system, I don't think making a melta-gun weigh the same as its heavy weapon equivalent was deliberatly intended.

I'd just ignore the weights in RT and DH. Look to real-life equivalents, and you'll notice the DH weights don't match up very well.
Weight is due for a complete re-write if you're feeling ambitious.
I would say its probably 10kg and 16kg respectively, thats how im running it anyway.
