Tycho Cheicho and stress

By Hamdamcwa, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Hi,

Tycho's ability says "You may perform actions even while you have a stress token."

This reads to me that if he has more than one stress token (i.e. not "a" stress token, but several), he can't perform an action. Is this correct?

Just thinking he could really benefit from Rage... if I'm wrong...

Thanks

It doesn't matter how many stress you out on pyhco he just keeps on trucking.

1 or 1000 it doesn't matter. He can perform his actions all he wants.

Actually that's not what the card reads. It actually says "You may perform actions even while you have stress tokens". I thought maybe it was errata'd, but my 2012 card of him says the same.

But in any case, Tycho can perform actions while stressed, regardless of the number. He cannot however perform red maneuvers while stressed.

I saw somebody get tripped up by the red maneuver thing in a recent tournament I was TOing. He was keeping the stress on the pilot card instead of next to the ship, which I suspect is why he forgot.

I see that a lot with interceptors. People seem to forget you need to clear that stress.

I usually leave one on his base so I avoid that problem. Fits neatly in his firing arc, lol.

FTFY

The card I have says; "You may perform actions even while you have stress tokens." If it said "a stress token" you would be correct but it doesn't say that.
