Store champion potential lists

By CenterPoint, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Hey everyone,

I am going to a SC this weekend, and i made 2 lists i plan on bringing. I really think red-red / blue-blue games ruin the thematics so i made one of each and i will play whatever i see less of.

However i made both of them with the same tactic in mind. Bees.

I wanted alot of small ships that were quick and could get in sting and leave.

Faction: Rebel Alliance
Points: 388/400

Commander: Admiral Ackbar

Assault Objective: Advanced Gunnery
Defense Objective: Fire Lanes
Navigation Objective: Superior Positions

[ flagship ] CR90 Corvette A (44 points)
- Admiral Ackbar ( 38 points)
- Jainas Light ( 2 points)
- Turbolaser Reroute Circuits ( 7 points)

CR90 Corvette A (44 points)
- Turbolaser Reroute Circuits ( 7 points)

CR90 Corvette A (44 points)
- Turbolaser Reroute Circuits ( 7 points)

MC30c Scout Frigate (69 points)
- Foresight ( 8 points)
- Intel Officer ( 7 points)
- Ordnance Experts ( 4 points)
- XI7 Turbolasers ( 6 points)
- Rapid Reload ( 8 points)

MC30c Scout Frigate (69 points)
- Admonition ( 8 points)
- Ordnance Experts ( 4 points)
- Turbolaser Reroute Circuits ( 7 points)
- Assault Proton Torpedoes ( 5 points)

Now i realize its a risk to bring a list with no squadrons, but i like the sheer power of these little monsters. The cr90s fly at speed 3 or 4 as needed and stay out at red range throwing up to 4 dice each with a guaranteed double hit.

The mc30s pack a whollop and foresight can throw 5 black dice and 4 red dice that the defender cant redirect. with a perfect roll this could kill a full shield ISD with no brace, and be one away from killing a motti ISD with a full front shield

388 points gives me a safe bet on flying 1st

Faction: Galactic Empire
Points: 393/400

Commander: Admiral Screed

Assault Objective: Advanced Gunnery
Defense Objective: Fire Lanes
Navigation Objective: Superior Positions

[ flagship ] Raider-I Class Corvette (44 points)
- Admiral Screed ( 26 points)
- Impetuous ( 4 points)
- Admiral Montferrat ( 5 points)
- Assault Proton Torpedoes ( 5 points)

Raider-I Class Corvette (44 points)
- Intel Officer ( 7 points)
- Assault Proton Torpedoes ( 5 points)

Raider-I Class Corvette (44 points)
- Intel Officer ( 7 points)
- Assault Proton Torpedoes ( 5 points)

Gladiator I-Class Star Destroyer (56 points)
- Demolisher ( 10 points)
- Wulff Yularen ( 7 points)
- Ordnance Experts ( 4 points)
- Engine Techs ( 8 points)
- Expanded Launchers ( 13 points)

Gladiator I-Class Star Destroyer (56 points)
- Insidious ( 3 points)
- Intel Officer ( 7 points)
- Ordnance Experts ( 4 points)
- Expanded Launchers ( 13 points)

2 TIE Fighter Squadrons ( 16 points)

This is the empire version of the same list. Emp squadrons are dirt cheap so i was able to throw in 2 ties for "tie"-ing up enemy squadrons (lol im sorry). raiders are quick to distract as juicy targets and wulf-demolisher means i get to add a black die AND extra speed 1 move. APTs on the Raiders allow for real damage to be thrown without worrying about shields.

Let me know what you think.

I don't think Intel officers are worth it on small raiders. You need a decent volley to convince people to use and loose the brace token. Good on the GSDs though.

Dropping these and switching the Glads to ACMs could save you 26 points which could get you Vader and IG88 or Sontir Fel as 2 decent tough squadrons actually able to kill something.

My take on the second list:

Insidious is better with Engine Techs and APT instead of Expanded Launchers (It is more likely to get medium range side-to-rear shots then front to rear, and ET will help you to get these shots or a potential double-arc). I also would be tempted to drop Intel officers everywhere except Demolisher and downgrade Screed boat to upgrade some of the Raiders to GSD's

If you have Admiral Screed, then the Ordnance Experts are only useful if you get a really bad roll. Why not take Assault Concussion Missiles on the Gladiators (Black Critical: Each hull zone adjacent to the defending hull zone suffers one damage.)

If you have Admiral Screed, then the Ordnance Experts are only useful if you get a really bad roll.

That's a wrong way to look at it. Screed's presence allows one to be very aggressive and to reroll everything except double hits with the understanding that the blanks can be screeded away anyway.

ill try some of these variations later when i get home, to see how they fit.

Any comments on the rebs list?

Is the intent with the MC30s to try and have first player so you can swing big with black dice? I think Mon Mothma or Riekann are better fits for that style. I love MC30s with Ackbar, but I wouldn't take Ordnance upgrades with them. With Ackbar, I'd prefer to keep everything at arm's length and use those black dice to punish whatever closes.

Regardless, my bigger comment is on the Imperial list. You really want first player with that set up, and I wouldn't bet that 7 points is enough of a bid in the current state of the game. I'd find a spot to drop at least 4 points.
