I want to run Vader for SC. This is my first time running a vader lists since i haven't been able to spare the $100 for the raider, but i found a good deal on amazon. any vader lists that you have had good success with lately please post them up so i can test them out before SC

No doubt someone will suggest the Unholy Trinity (Soontir, Vader, Palp-shuttle). I'm not a fan of it anymore after I flew it at World's. Too many counters out there. Perhaps try those two aces with Omega leader? Could be fun.

This is always a challenge to answer because there are so many caveats.

If your meta has a ton of TLT and lower PS ships, then that will starkly contrast if your meta sees a lot of VI Poe, Han, etc.

Typically, you'll see these two builds:

Vader

VI

TIE/x1

ATC

Engine

Vader

Predator

TIE/x1

ATC

Vader without EU makes him FAR more susceptible to quick death. He really needs to dodge arcs.

If you want to make him a hammer, add Proton Rockets to one of the builds.

That should be a decent list in a week or so.

I like my Inquisitor with PTL and the mk.ii engines so his dial is all green (pretty much) but autothrusters definitely makes sense.

Save yourself a point though and run Proton Rockets in Vader instead of cluster missiles. 5 dice is generally better than two 3 die attacks when you take defense into account. Plus you don't spend your focus token for PRockets you just have to have it. So if you have your ATC target lock from a previous round you have a TL and a focus to modify those 5 dice. Pretty darn hurtful.

Shoot with that point you could put Prockets on our friend Inquisitor as well.
