When a ship is attacking a squadron with ASA dice, e.g. 1 blue. Is it range 1 only or out to the blue dice range, which is Medium?

There is no restrictions or limitations on Dice Range in Regards to Shooting At Squadrons, only Squadrons Shooting at Ships .

Ergo, Dice against Squadrons, from Ships, are whatever range those Dice are...

Short for Black, Medium for Blue... And theoretically Long for Red if we ever get a ship with that.

My question about that is caused by the the "learn to play" rule book page 15

I quote

" Attacking Squadrons with a Ship

When a ship attacks a squadron, it can perform one attack against each squadron inside the firing arc and at attack range of the attacking hull zone . Each attack is resolved seperately."
