i'm attending my first event, a friendly skirmish tournament. Only wave 1 miniatures and command cards allowed.
Any suggestion? I was thinking about Vader, cause is so cool. Is stil the Vader's fist OP or not ? ( thinking about RG nerf)

I don't remember exactly what was "wave 1" but Stormtroopers are a thing and they are in the core so even without vader's finest you could take some elite stormtroopers and do fairly well. You also have the royal guard champion to consider. A friend of mine does very well with

Heavy Stormtroopers

If you swap the heavies for regular stormtroopers or a pair of standard probe droids youre in with 5 or 6 activations and 9 or 10 figures. Plenty of speed to contest objectives and protect the RGC. His abilities alone can devastate other trooper lists.

Wave 1 I took Royal Guard Champ and some elite stormtroopers to a tourney, did fairly well! I think this was the list

Probe Droid

Just remember to detonate the probe droid near the champ for maximum effect! Imperial officers are still pretty good at moving around the champ in their nerfed state. Even Vader and stormtroopers are pretty good, in the above list just sub out the royal guard and probe droid for vader and another officer. Best of luck and let us know how it goes!
