Palp/Redline List, would appreciate some feedback.

By Obsidian Leader, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Trying a new “Poppa-Palp” list without Vader, but still using the TIE Advanced. I wanted to try out a Redline Combo to focus down Miranda and Poe in the Tournament lists we have been seeing at my local club and game store events while maintaining the use of the two “weaker” ships by using ordnance, and accuracy corrector.

Here is what I have so far:

25 Commander Alozen (TIE Adv.)
0 TIE/x1
5-4=1 Adv. T.C.
3 Pred
1 TIEng MkII
(30) Total

27 Redline (TIE Pun.)

3 Acc. Corr.

2 Flechette Torps
2 Extra Muni.
4 Conuss. Miss.
(38) Total

21 Omicron Group Pilot (Lambda)
3 Acc. Corr.

8 Emperor Palp.

(32) Total

List = (100)

The focus for this obviously is to use Alozen like Vader instead with the R1TLock, while using Palp’s ability Pred. and the ATC to deal as much damage to a target as possible. Meanwhile if I get the ships arc correctly I can unload with Con missiles for larger targets or the Flech Torps to a smaller target and then still have the Lambda’s 3 dice (I intend to use him in the fight and not fly around and ignore other ships as I have seen a few players do and as I only have three ships in the build).

The A.C.’s are there because I have used three ship builds before and they just don’t do enough consistent damage for my liking (sans Turrets), as well as they bolster Redline’s post munitions damage output. I could lose the engine on the Advanced to gain the point bid, but I am not sure that would benefit me too much.

I can also trade out the Pred on the Advanced for V.I. and then see about adding Auto Thrusters to the Punisher...

Thoughts? Anyone see anything glaringly wrong with the build? I still think I will have trouble with some turret lists, but the hope is that the focused fire will kill a ship every one and a half turns while trying to stay within the doughnut hole (if lucky and planned well).
