So huge ships cannot perform free actions. The Automated Protocols card clearly states that it allows a huge ships to take a free recover or reinforce action. Presumably the ruling is that the wording on the Automated Protocols card trumps the rule book.

So by the same token, would Lando's pilot ability also allow a huge ship to take a free action? Does the wording on his card trump the printed rules, in the same way that the Automated Protocols card does?
