Capacitor Failure and Projection Experts

By AdmiralYor, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

Friend proposed an interesting question.

Projection Experts : "You may spend up to 2 engineering points to move that many shields from your ship to another friendly ship."
Capacitor Failure x2 : "If a hull zone has no remaining shields, you cannot recover shields in it, nor move shields to it, if that hull zone is defending, you cannot spend redirect tokens."

It seems the usage of the word "You" indicates that the other ship, which is not the "You" can move shields to the ship with the critical? Though the "nor move shields to it" portion does not specify "You".

I leave this to the grammar Nazis. Enjoy.

Indeed, two different "You" are in play:

[The ship with the damage card] cannot recover shields in [the affected zone], nor move shields to it.

[The ship with Projection Experts] may spend up to 2 engineering points to move that many shields from [that ship] to another friendly ship.

In the absence of an FFG ruling, it's pretty clear that Projection Experts are really good at their job ;)

I would have to agree with DA's assessment. (Also, welcome back, buddy! You beat me to it!)

Agree with DA, would like to see it FAQ'd for confirmation.

Also, for what it's worth, a capacitor failure on Ship A doesn't really alter the ability of Ship B to project is shields skillfully
