how many 'start of the turn' cards can be played in one turn. We had a discussion about it at our local club and couldn't find an official verdict so we went with what appeared to be fairest and settled for each player could play one card each with that prerequisite

does anyone know the actual ruling and point me to it please?

As many as you want, however, you cannot play the same named card more than once per timing instance.

So, if you have 3 different "At the start of the round..." cards, you could play all 3.
