Stun Damage and Temple Guard Lightsaber Pike

By Tancradus, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

Kinda related to the OP... Which book has the Temple Guards Lighsaber Pike in it?

Keeping the Peace.

Playing Starwars FFG for the combat is not the correct reason for playing Starwars.

If the players find combat to be fun, then playing this game for the combats is the correct way to play it.

fair enough.

Im hoping the potential errata breaks the 2 defences into 2 seperate numbers each. Each defence should have a base number, it comes from anything with a static defence value so either Armour or Cover. Then the second number is the modifier, this comes from anything that adds to defence; so shields, weapons, talents, force powers, maneuvers, and Advantage/Triumph.

This way a character may be wearing armour with defence 1, but then jumps behind cover to increase that to a 2, the quick reference would make it easy to work out the current defence.

I would think that modifications to Armour would affect its base defence, not the defence modifier, so putting the teflon coating on your armour doesn't make you harder to hit behind cover.

Or should everything just stack? thats a heck of a lot of setback to attack someone if they but the effort into it, great way to trigger improved parry/reflect.

What about keeping it simple and just letting it stack to a maximum of Defense 4 (an arbitrary value, but it's what they set for vehicular Defense, so...)?

Or. Use the bigger os the numbers then add +1 from the other.

You are wearing superior armorer robes (Defence of 2)

you have a dodge bonus of 2 (Defence of 2)

Total is 2 + max 1 = 3

thoughts?
