Great reports, and a really original squad. Well done and thanks for sharing ![]()
Alpha Fleet Officer @ Game Preserve - Greenwood Store Championship (w/ pictures)
Being able to block the shuttle in place and still get the focus tokens from Adv Sensors is a key part of my strategy.
You can do that - but it'll cost you a point of damage and a stress token - not such a hot deal. The question is what 2 points will buy you elsewhere in the squad; which pretty much boils down to the tractor beam.

Compared to Advanced Sensors, it does cost damage, but it also allows you to do it multiple turns in a row.
Just to clarify, when I said, "Block the shuttle in place," I meant Advanced Sensors, then green maneuver into one of my interceptors. It's true that one advantage of the baffle is that the shuttle can use its turns and stop maneuver while handing out focus tokens withFleet Officer. Interesting.
That was an excellent write-up, and a lot of fun to read.
I actually built a somewhat similar squad for Winter Kit and Store Championship season this year. My shuttle had Fleet Officer and Advanced Sensors and Tactical Jammer. Instead of a bunch of low PS ships, I ran four named TIEs; Backstabber (PS6), Scourge and Zeta Leader with VI (PS9) and Epsilon Ace (PS12 until hurt). A bunch of very cheap 'aces' supported by a shuttle that would let them have focus before taking K-turns or bumping, it worked very well.
I did briefly toy with the idea of using Intelligence Agent on the shuttle, but whenever I put one in my squad, I continuously forget to use it.
