Fat Han 2.0

By Agemman, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Could this work?

Han Solo (46)
Expose (4)
R2-D2 (Crew) (4)
Kyle Katarn (3)
Experimental Interface (3)
Millennium Falcon (1)
Miranda Doni (29)
Twin Laser Turret (6)
Chewbacca (4)
Total: 100

Since TLTs made C3PO basically useless on 1AG ships Expose could be a much better choice for Han, with this build Han can Evade+Expose and get a Focus from Kyle making it still a little bit tanky and hitting really hard.

C3PO is far from useless against other attackers, but assuming you're wanting to avoid using him, then.... Hm.

You've got a 4-dice attack with focus and rerolls if you need it, so firepower is good. The big problem is that you're nailing the falcon to the green part of its dial - which is distinctly so-so - and if you get blocked or stressed by R3-A2, etc, you lose your action.

It certainly can work; it's essentially a Rebel version of Admiral Chiraneau with Expose/Interface, but I think the latter is rather better for its points.

I guess it boils down to pros and cons with Dash Rendar - compared to the Outrider you're a lot better against aces - you have no 'blind spot' to hide in and some ability to recover shields - but much worse against a mob of generic fighters as you're much slower round the board and have next to no ability to evade incoming fire.

No EU.

You just sacrificed your primary defensive ability on every big ship.

You are afraid of TLT and dont take EU?

Plus what the hell does it mean that TLT rendered C3PO useless?

Ok lets go with the example:

no C3PO falcon vs 2xTLT (most common), I assume they rolls 2 hits by average, what makes no C3PO go:

boom

boom

boom

boom

and CP3O falcon,same assumpion 2 hits:

roll +evade boom or no boom

roll + c3po boom or no boom

boom

boom

or you just wanna be safe and take evade+c3po and 3 booms.

Sooo how 4 hits vs the ability to defend to 2 hits is useless?

He is way weaker, true. But as far from useless as he can only be.

Not to mention noTLT lists.

Read title of thread, reacted as such:

Read thread. Agree with Vitalis fully.

c3po is still absolute gold (heh)

used him on Miranda and he blocked the occasional TLT still (yes, they still roll one hit all the time because naked dice suck) and, far more importantly, he blocked everything else that isn't Omega Leader or Juke. Stacks hard with Miranda's regen

Yeah it's not completely useless but you still have to either rely on getting an evade on a single die or spend all your mitigation in one attack to avoid getting a single damage.

But you're not getting attacked with a single TLT attack, you're getting attacked with 4 attacks that's the biggest issue, like a Falcon vs swarms gets shred to pieces because you can't mitigate more than one attack and it gets attacked by 6-8 ships a Falcon vs TLTs gets shred to pieces because you get attacked by 4-8 attacks.

Sure C3PO is still strong vs Acewings but in my opinion it's not worth it anymore, that crew slot is better used with someone else like Chewy or R2 since they have some guaranteed mitigation.

I could take EU but i wanted to try out a 4 attack Falcon so that's why no EU.
