I honestly would love for the Spy book to be next in the AoR line up. More so since I think the Sentinel and Warrior book are likely a ways off.
Savage Spirits?
It went to print I see.
Yep! This is the one stage of the process for which I have no data; how long are books usually at the printer? Two weeks? Three? More?
There's no real yardstick. Some of the recent books have moved through the process quickly. Special Modifications went from announcement I think in the beginning of Dec to now shipping, so who knows.

The only measurement we had, as far back as I can remember, was that the books took 6 weeks to go from "on the boat" to my grubby mitts. Of course that's no longer true.
Its probably 8-10 weeks away form hitting US stores, 8 if we are lucky, 12 if they go via antarctica.
I'm half expecting this to be their GenCon release. Though I won't be upset if it winds up on store shelves sooner than that.

If Special Modifications is any indicator, this should be out a few months before GenCon.
Can't be as quick as Special Modifications. I wasn't tracking the entire process when SM was announced, but it took 56 days total for SM to go from announcement to being "On the Boat." So far, it's taken Savage Spirits 60 days just for development. We still need an unknown amount of time for printing, at least 40 days for being "On the Boat," and another 16 for shipping.
That's why I was asking about how long printing takes. Assuming it's no more than two weeks and the boat only takes 6 weeks, my best guess is a release date of May 26.
I don't know when GenCon is, but if it's sooner than that, they're going to have to pay extra for the Boat to go a little faster if they want the book here in time.
Edited by Absol197You're assuming products all have the same type of announcements made at the same point in their dev process.
Yes I am, because I can't know otherwise.
Also, what does it matter? FFG isn't allowed to give information on products that aren't announced yet, and we have no idea what's coming next until it's announced, so starting my tracking from the day of the announcement post is the only thing I can do, that any of us can do.
Sure, maybe they announced Special Modifications when they only needed to iron out a few kinks, and Savage Spirits when they still had most of the book to write, but from our perspective and the information we're given, there's no practical difference. The amount of time that passes from when we know the book exists and when we have it in our hands is based on when they announced it.

True, we are due some adventures, oh well "No Disintegrations" for Christmas then?
I liked this, unliked it, then liked it again, because if that's not the name of the Bounty Hunter book, I will lose my faith in people.
I must admit it's not my idea, and I'm not sure who originally suggested it or I would credit them. But it's been the forum favourite for quite a while, almost since Source Book speculation started.

There was a supplement for one of the older rpg's (I have it lying around at home somewhere) that was called "no disentegrations" that includes information about bounty hunters and several bounties with backstory/adventure hooks.
So, sadly I think it is less likely that a new book will have the same name as the old one. Still, also my favorite name.
So.. Which new species are we seeing in this book? Any takers?

Somebody asked the official twitter or facebook thing when it was first announced (check the thread over on the F&D forum) and were told expect something tall and four-armed. That could be a number of things, but my best bet is Besalisk. There's artwork of what's probably a Pantoran/Wroonian, but internal artwork isn't always indicative of what we'll be getting (there's also a picture of a Lannik surfing a reek, and we're certainly not getting those). Somebody guessed Miraluka because of the new power, Farsight, and I would hope so, but it's anybody's guess.

Three different write-ups for Lannik, all with radically different stats.
