Savage Spirits?

By bradknowles, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

It was announced awhile back. It was the topic of discussion for awhile over on the F&D board. There is a new thread discussing it over there. But yeah .... this was announced I think a month ago.

Oh, man. I’m getting old and slow. ;(

Sigh….

More money to spend :P it looks cool though, just like everything else in this FFG fanboys eyes!

Haha! The same happened to me with Nexus of Power. Always happens with F&D books, so it's probably a random Misdirect effect. ;)

One annoying thing since they added the shopping cart is that you can't see "on the boat"/"shipping now" status from the product page anymore. You have to go to the "Upcoming" option and search from there. So it's easier to miss those things unless you have a browser tab set to "Upcoming", which is what I'm doing now :) and which is how I found out that Nexus of Power is now shipping (making a trip to my FLGS next week), and Special Modifications is on the boat (which probably means we'll see it next month).

Nexus of Power will release on 3/17. Special Modifications on 3/24.

I can’t “Like” this post, because that would mean that I “like” waiting. :(

But this is useful information. Thanks!

Don't we all though?

Savage Spirits? Sounds like another name for Mad Dog 20/20.

What's the word? Thunderbird! What's the price? 30 twice! How's it sold? Good and cold!

Has this one been announced recently and I never heard of it?

It is apparently now available for pre-order on MiniatureMarket.com, and maybe others.

See the FFG page at https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/products/star-wars-force-and-destiny/products/savage-spirits/

When I lived in St. Louis, I used to run and play games regularly in their store before they moved it to northwest St. Louis county. They are a great group of people to deal with.

I would think we are due for some product announcement(s) soon, as they're about to clear out the queue except for Savage Spirits.

Special Mods must be due another article, and it's about time the next AoR book is announced. Soldier, Engineer or Spy? I'm thinking spy, don't put Engineer too close to Tech and Bounty hunter before Soldier.

Anyone know what the new species are?

Wouldn't the next AoR book be an adventure?

The next book that will be announced (for all three lines, actually) will most likely be a new adventure. So we'll have to wait even longer to know what the next career book will be for AoR.

But once we get there, I'm betting on it being Soldier.

True, we are due some adventures, oh well "No Disintegrations" for Christmas then?

I really doubt they would do adventures simultaneously for all three lines. Besides, EotE just got Mask of the Pirate Queen, so they aren't due for a while.

This is all just supposition and guess work, but I would bet that EotE gets another setting book next (Black Sun maybe, or perhaps a Shadowports book?). AoR is really due for an adventure, but the next career book could surprise us instead (my money would be on Spy). F&D could be just about anything, but I'm guessing it will be another career book (probably Consular).

Right, sorry! AoR and F&D should get adventures, EotE should get a region book (Outer Rim planets, maybe?).

Of course, this is all based on patterns, which can be broken.

F&D will likely get an adventure. They have a setting book and a career book releasing all around the same time span so the next book is likely an adventure. Sooo AoR and F&D are likely to be adventure books while EotE is likely to be a setting book.

An announcement of an adventure would feel more natural if the release schedule wasn't shot to hell. I'm sure that it was not the intention of FFG to release two adventures in one month, and then two more supplements the next month. As it seems to be the case, the dock strikes probably prevented a more dispersed release. It wouldn't feel like we "just" got two adventures if they announce a new adventure. Also, it's been over a year and a half since Onslaught at Arda I was released. I think its time for an AoR adventure.

Ok AoR adventure, possibly spy book after that, how about a more covert Spy's and Diplomats adventure?

Corporate sector book for edge? Or perhaps an entirely new sector, or previously un-developed in legends/cannon?

FaD who knows!

True, we are due some adventures, oh well "No Disintegrations" for Christmas then?

I liked this, unliked it, then liked it again, because if that's not the name of the Bounty Hunter book, I will lose my faith in people.

I must admit it's not my idea, and I'm not sure who originally suggested it or I would credit them. But it's been the forum favourite for quite a while, almost since Source Book speculation started.
