I have 4 points left, I could add Prockets to Vader or Stealth to Omega Leader, with 1 for a initiative bid.. This is probably going to be used in a store championship of around 20 players. Which should I use?

I am leaning towards the stealth device on Omega. Is the damage boost on Vader worth it?

Well, what I'd do is think about what you're expecting to fight, and get 3 points of counter-build in.

As in, what's going to show up and wreck your day? Use 3 points to fight that specifically.

Pretty much that.

I played this exact list at the weekend, with Stealth for OL, and my biggest problem I think was Mirandas. I fought her in 3/4 of my matches. Swapping in Prockets (if I owned the card D:) would have given me a bit more of the punch I needed to focus her down, potentially.

Neither Vader nor OL do particularly well against TLTs, unfortunately. And the stealth device doesn't add that much.

But it really depends on your meta. In my case I barely used VI on Vader, I think it got me ahead only against a single Poe in a single match, and Soontir and OL can deal with higher-init Poes in a pinch. I lost init to a 2-point bid VI Vader in the last match too, which hurt. I would have been better with juke in the specific matches I faced - but there were also LOT of soontirs around, I just didn't draw against them, where VI Vader would have ruled.

So yeah, work out your meta, make the call, hope you draw against the right ships. And bear in mind this is a list that, at best, relies pretty heavily on dice luck, without a vast amount of mods (typically only focus in the offense, maybe an evade or two in the defence, Soontir excepted), so don't get too salty if the dice screw you.

Yeah, already had a taste of g** damned green duce going south. I think at one point I rolled 2 or 3 natural evades in 20 dice. I still should have won though, I forgot Bossk's 0 move with Soontir. I think I will stick with sprockets just for the ability to just delete a ship with them.

Unfortunately I don't know much of the meta since I don't play outside my home store and we get many people from other areas to our SC tournament.

Then adjust to your local meta.

I usually try to look at participant list before any store to roughly know who and from where gonna come. In my area for example we are very heavy on Aces/Stress control so i adjusted my list to our store with that in mind.

I played against the exact same build and i took it out the ease. I was running triple interceptors. the VI helps, the build i faced ran Wingman on vader. maybe its just me, but i don't like vader that much. He doesn't do enough damage for what his cost is. you could kit out a standard interceptor for about the same cost and its way better. i would replace vader with another interceptor.

Wingman is a poor choice on Vader. If someone is building Vader for support, they aren't getting the most out of him. Vader is a beast. ATC + Lone wolf/predator gives him similar damage output to a phantom, and considering he is much cheaper than either named phantom (when kitted out) I think he is excellent value. 'standard' interceptors are generally cheaper than Vader, but they have weaknesses that Vader does not: they typically stress themselves (thus having actually fewer moves than Vader does, and therefore can be more predictable); have less firepower and while they are stronger against turrets, they are weaker against stress dealers and vader crew (because no shields)

Once Vader has his target lock, he has better than a 3 die attack. His real problem is the Tie Advanced dual, which is why it is really hard to not use engine upgrade on him.

The TIE advanced dial is not 'bad'. It lacks the 1 hard turn but gets the 1 bank instead. That technically makes it slightly worse than most other TIEs, but not by much. The number of greens is the same as a TIE fighter, so that's not bad neither (not great but not bad). I agree that engine is essential on Vader, but I'm okay with that...
