This came up the last game. My friend had Riekan and we played Precision Strike. Could I shoot a ship in order to get some victory points even if the ship is already dead? Could I give more faceup cards or turn the facedown cards up?

The same could happen with superior positions but I think this is more clear but I am not sure that a ship could have assigned more damage cards than hull or if it keeps the damage cards even if it is destroyed but remains under Riekan's leadership.

Yes you can.

It is one of the Risks of taking Rieekan...

Normally, a Ship is removed as soon as it has Damage equal to its hull...

However, Rieekan delays that removal until the Status Phase .

So yes, you can keep racking things up, as the ship is Treated as Not Destroyed ... Which means its a Target, and its face-down cards are certainly a valid flip-target for Precision Strike.
