Wanting to replay Battle of Endor

By TheVillageIdiot, in Imperial Assault Skirmish

I have a vision...

..of playing a multiplayer/multigame Battle of Endor game:

* We start with a simultaneous battle in Imperial Assault and Armada (something like do 1 turn in IA, then 1 turn in SWA, and so on)

* Once the shield generator in IA is destroyed, the squadrons in Armada can exit the map, starting ...

* ... the end run to the center of the Death Star using X-Wing!

Problem is, I am a dedicated Armada gamer (with way to many stuff) but have played IA campaign as a Imperial.

Does anybody have any ideas how to approach this in IA? I would want to concentrate on the immediate surroundings of the Generator Complex, thus largely excluding the furry creature battle.

Is there anybody having done something similar in IA? Or can give me some pointers?

This village idiot would appreciate any help.

This has come up occasionally before. I would recommend, instead of simultaneous games, playing the games sequentially. You play a custom IA scenario to destroy the shield generator. Track how many rounds that game takes and based on that number it determines how long the rebel fleet has to hold out in an Armada game before the squadrons can enter the DS. Once the shield is down, the Armada squadrons have so many rounds to fly off a specific edge of the board to enter the DS, and how many do determines the strength of the squadrons that get used in an x-wing game with fighters flying through a maze of tunnels to destroy the reactor and then escape.

I think that's a good idea to play an IA game with a custom map where the rebels have to interact with terminals to plant c charges and escape, and then play Armada where the rebels have to survive based on the number of rounds itttook to get the shields down, but the Empire can make a death star attack every other turn that uses two of each dice. You could use the IA tiles, the purple interior ones, to build a maze and fly the x-wings through it, and they take a damage if they touch the edge.

Exactly.

Though I hadn't thought of using the IA tiles to create the DS interior for X-Wing. Will have to take a look at them with that purpose in mind.
