New to Scum what are the killer combos and such

By Cubanboy, in X-Wing

Replace 4 TLT Y with 3 TLT Y + TLT Torkil Mux. Similar list but a lot more fun.

I run similar list but replace 1 TLT Y with 2 Binayre blockers and retain 1 pt initiative bid. It's a more practical approach than the ever-dodged stressbot. Plus you don't cripple TLT y's maneuverability thanks to unhinged astros. Can't keep them in arc? Block and let them shoot last!

Unfortunately he's not a super good building block because he's very expensive but:

Iggy-B

- Predator

- Sensor Jammer

- HLC

- Autothrusters

52 points

He likes actions, but has passive defensive and offensive abilities so he's less vulnerable to stressbot than your standard Iggy build.

Here are a couple of my normal builds for ships

Boba, VI, Engine, Tactician/Rec Spec, Inertial Dampeners

Palob, TLT, Bossk, Wired (some like Moldy Crow)

N'Dru, Glitterstim, Crackshot, Homing Missiles (and soon to be Guidance chips)

Trandoshan Slaver Gunner, Bossk, Tactician

Guri, Sensor Jammer, Predator, Autothrusters, Virago title

Y Wing Thug, TLT, Unhinged Astro (Sometimes BTL A4)

Y Wing thug Ion Turret Unhinged Astro BTL-A4

Most of my early lists were Fat ship plus some support. Like Boba and two Y wings. Now a days I tend to up my efficiency with jousting lists. I've had reasonable results (mostly wins) with the following prior Wave 8 (as above) (all unbeaten against various lists)

Guri, Ion thug, 3 Binyare Pirates

Slaver, Pirate, 2 TLT Ywings with title. (Have tried tractor on the YV and no astro)

4 Khiraxz Fighters 1 Scyk with Mangler

Otherwise its kind of Boba, IG 88B or mix and Match like reiver mentioned above

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this nasty little build right here:

N'Dru Shulak, Lone Wolf, Glitterstim, Cluster Missiles (and Guidance Chimps when it comes out).

Only 25 points, and N'Dru will absolutely wreck anybody's day (Ace or TLT carrier or tank or whatever) if he catches them at range 1-2 with a TL. That's two 4-dice attacks with a reroll and focus (and a free auto-hit from Guidance Chimps). It does take some practice flying him so that you can set up the shot while being far enough away from the rest of your squad for Lone Wolf and N'dru's pilot ability to trigger.

The problem with N'Dru is that you may get to use him in maybe one game before he becomes everyone's enemy number one, and then first thing focused of the board each successive game.

This is what happened to Vader after the tie advanced fix came out. Ps11 with VI, double actions, and crits from the tl. Became the number one target. I continued playing him, but removed EU. Why? Cause I used him as bait. While everyone chased him around the asteroids as he focus/evade every turn, my phantom and interceptor would make quick work of their ships from behind. Even after I removed a lot of his upgrades, these players where still trained to hate him. It's psychological warfare, learn to use it against your opponent, manipulate their plans, and be a scummy sith ftw :P

Is anyone still playing Brobots? If so how are you doing with them?

A varied squad that is a lot of fun to play.

Still popular, still solid, though the build has started to congeal on HLC, AT, FCS, and EPT of your choice with CrackShot being the new hotness.
