I have a Store Championship coming up next weekend, and am thinking of playing a list that goes beyond my usual comfort zone. I tend to play Interceptors and Phantoms, but the last tournament I played in I found out just how fickle the green dice can be. So, I have decided that this time through I am not going to rely on the greens at all.

Let me know what you think of this:

Krassis Trelix (Firespray) - Heavy Laser Cannon - 43pts

Rear Admiral Chiraneau (Decimator) - Predator / Gunner / Tactician - 56pts

For the same point cost, I could swap out RAC for Oicunn loaded with Intimidation, Mara Jade, Gunner, Tactician, and Dauntless.

Thoughts

I have a Firespray-Deci list with Krassis but I like to run him with Recon Specialist. He is the Hammer in my list so I want to keep him a little more survivable. Since he gets the reroll from his ability, I'd probably be focusing with him all the time so now he can have one or two for defense with those decent green dice to help keep him on the table. Then decided to go with Kenkirk as a little more durable decimator (my Anvil).

I just feel with a two ship list they need to be fairly survivable otherwise one of them will die quickly to focused fire (and they still will eventually).
