I emailed FFG about this topic. It is official as of 04/01/2016.....
..... As of the beginning of the year Fantasy Flight Games will no longer be supporting or producing any content for Star War Armada. While Store Championship and Regional kits were produced before that date, they will be the final events officially supported as well. The reason is so that Fantasy Flight Games can focus on its more popular games such as X-Wing Minatures and Imperial Assault.

Finally, someone gets it! Get enough reports, FFG will read it! Maybe, just maybe, they will respond and say SOMETHING! Assuming the OP is correct and they will only go on the forums if enough complaints are heard, or something like that.

...Armada is taking a different path. Rather than spoil users with aricles, Armada's 3rd and 4th waves will be hitting store shelves without any spoilers. Wave 3 should be on shelves next week, while wave 4 is set to debut in July. The Executor mega-expansion, while not officially a part of any wave, is also going without any spoilers, and is arriving at stores on March 14th. You are going to love the Thrawn card!

So many bridges are needed for this thread, it's startling to see what we've devolved to in the absence of news.
FFG themselves do not visit the forums unless they have been directed here due to multiple report functions.
That's not true. They can't/won't post but they do visit the forms. Alex and Frank have both said as much and they have nothing to do with moderating the boards.
I've also seen Alex's name listed as someone reading a thread in the past. I assume that some random person can't get "Alex Davis" as a screen name on this site.
Now that doesn't mean posts like this actually accomplish anything. It's not like they're sitting there and saying 'only one more post about wave 3 and we finally pass 500 and can release the article'

I am the meta anti-rickroll.
I have to admit, it could be a good marketing ploy. If I was told today that they wouldn't be making anymore Armada materials it would make buying the things I want a big priority. The rush to buy before it goes out of stock. Even if they were to quit making Armada wouldn't mean we had to stop playing it. Last I looked at the products section they're still getting restocking when they're out anything so I think we're o.k.
One thing is certain: If Armada doesn't get regular exercise and keeps eating fast food every day, it is going to get the 'betes.

Seems to me that player bases in X-Wing and Armada have become WAAAAY too obnoxious at how often and deep they expect the company to stop what their doing and stroke their ego. Well it is healthy enough that Armada is a finalist for 'Best Miniatures Game 2015' at Beasts of War. The awards will be announced Sunday night 3/6/16
