FFG Please give us some news about Armada's health

By Goknights12, in Star Wars: Armada

Look I know, there will be people who get all mad about another one of these posts, but IA just got more news today about new stuff and yet Armada only gets news about organized play. So I am asking FFG to please give us something to chew on, or give us the update that you are not continuing with Armada.... I mean really, I don't care what posts X-wing had at the start of its life, where is Wave 3. This continues to seem like a more abnormal pause of news from FFG.

Has anyone heard anything? Even through a rumor mill?

Don't fear. There are waves coming. For certain.

We're fine...we're all fine here...how are you?

Dude...Do you realize how unrealistic you sound? Why would they announce a game being cancelled? People are going to be whiny either way and if they DID announce something, I'm sure that would guarantee that the stock of ISD's, squadrons and wave 2 that is sitting in their warehouse would drop in value to almost nil immediately.

You want to know if they are doing more with it? Look at reprints upcoming. If they are letting stock dry up that should tell you all you need to know. You are NOT getting any official announcement and it's pointless to ask for one.

My FLGS owner was showing me a trade magazine about a month back. It had rankings for popularity of various miniatures games. In the top 5 were:

  1. X-Wing
  2. Warhammer 40K
  3. Star Wars: Armada
  4. Warmachine/Hordes
  5. Star Trek Attack Wing

If you think they're gonna kill the 3rd place most popular miniatures game, I've got a bridge to sell you. Be patient.

We're fine...we're all fine here...how are you?

I would have also accepted "Hold on to your butts."

Fact 1) FFG knows more about Rogue One than they did about TFA per interviews with Alex Davy

Fact 2) Rogue One spoilers are far and few between

Supposition: Wave III includes Rogue One ships that can't be spoiled yet.

Just a guess, but would certainly explain things.

Han'll have that shield down. You've got to give him more time!

Super....Star.....Destroyer

Aaaaaaaand go!

One thing is certain: If Armada doesn't get regular exercise and keeps eating fast food every day, it is going to get the 'betes.

I've heard that if you show up anywhere for Regionals, FFG goons are waiting to take your ships, smash them with a hammer, and then punch you in the face.

Armada is dead. Abandon all hope, all ye who enter here.

Here's the thing.

Posting these topics are completely ineffectual.

FFG themselves do not visit the forums unless they have been directed here due to multiple report functions. That is the nature of their Hands-Off community system... Otherwise, we would have JKniffen and a team of Answering People in the Rules Questions Sub-Forum. But we don't. We have some semi-dedicated Community People instead...

If you really are serious about getting a message requesting news, information, or advice directly to FFG, then you need to follow their own listed contact advice.

Posting these here, just give people ammunition to do... Well... To do the Above.

Unless, of course, that is your actual goal.

Then, Troll Well Done.

We're fine...we're all fine here...how are you?

Boring conversation anyway.

My website, which is one of the main assets I use to show off my professional skills, can really shine or die depending on how Armada goes, so I really hope FFG has some big (good) surprises for us all in the future.

We're fine...we're all fine here...how are you?

Who is this? What is your operating number? I'm sending a patrol down.

LUKE WERE GONNA HAVE COMPANY!

I emailed FFG about this topic. It is official as of 03/04/2016.....

..... As of the beginning of the year Fantasy Flight Games will no longer be supporting or producing any content for Star War Armada. While Store Championship and Regional kits were produced before that date, they will be the final events officially supported as well. The reason is so that Fantasy Flight Games can focus on its more popular games such as X-Wing Minatures and Imperial Assault.
